2009 Martinsville Race Weekend Discussion

Join in here and discuss all the weekend activities at Martinsville for Robby Gordon. Here is the schedule for the weekend,all times eastern standard. First practice is on Friday at 12:00pm, followed by Qualifying at 3:30pm both on SPEED. There will be 2 practices on Saturday at 10:30am and 11:50am also on SPEED. The race is on Sunday ,March 29th at 1:30 pm. Don't forget live chat every Sunday, from 10am-10pm. (Live chat is a popular feature,but for those who don't care for it,please continue to post your thoughts right here on raceday.)

Looks like they will squeeze practice in before the 2nd Monsoon comes through and cancels the truck race...provided they can get the track dried. Radar is clear..but looks cloudy and damp moist air...whihc makes drying the track very tough I imagine.

Race tomorrow will be clear and fine..a tad windy though...

I hope that they can get at least one practice in.. just so RG can shake down the car one last time before Sunday! Then we can see if the first practice speed was for real in comparison to the rest of the field. If so, this could be one of Rob's best runs at the paperclip!

Another storm system is just west of Martinsville but heading north. If they don't dry the track soon, we may have no practice today.

Per Scene Daily - NASCAR to throw Competition caution after lap 40. Teams cannot fuel the car until then.
