It's doubtful I guess, since the double is nearly impossible now, I just wish he would get a replacement driver for the 600 and focus on Indy. I'm not saying Indy owes him a win but he will definitely have a shot of winning if he keeps trying. It was disappointing not seeing him race the 500 for the past 4 years, now I think he should really get back into the saddle.

RG said "no Indycar" in his current plans last week on Claire B Lang's show. Lots of NASCAR and desert.
I still hold hope when Robbys 60 and a only driving part time (still a full time car owner) he will give it one more shot.
I miss the days when drivers would do both races. Tony George is an idiot.
Tony George is not an idiot. They can't run the double because Indiana moved to Eastern Standard time. Which put us up an hour, and the race starts an hour later now. Quit blaming it on Tony if you don't know the facts of why they can't run the double.
He's a world class fucking idiot.....
Just in case anyone didn't hear it the first time...

NO. Hear for yourself in one of these recordings.....

if they would move it to a Monday....it would happen......
NO...been discussed ad nauseum. Not going to happen unless Indy's start time is moved.
Heres the thing guys, yes I'ma say it again...sponsors.
Unless your one of those drivers that most of us are tired of hearing about, you've pretty much gotta do whatever it takes to make the sponsors happy. Everybody wants sponsors, it's a "sponsors market". RG is not going to thumb his nose at the very sponsors who've been loyal to him for years now. They (like most of us) have stuck with their driver thru some chitty seasons. Unless it becomes logisticly possible, & the sponsors back, or even promote the double, it ain't gonna happen.
That being said, I hope RG gets the Indy 500 win to add to his credential list sooner than later.
Tony George is not to blame for the double not being able to happen anymore. Pre-race activities start at 7 a.m. on race day. The gun goes off at 5 a.m. on race morning. There are too many traditions to go through for the 500 to run it any earlier. Maybe Lowes should just move their date.
Tradition was the race starts at 11 until a few years ago.
