Robby never cruises ;)

This from a guy that decided to hit an indoor karting place and found Robby there.

Fun read, I can't get the video to load for me, but it's supposed to be of Robby and this writer.

... I came close to hurting myself in a go-cart when NASCAR driver Robby Gordon agreed to race me at Victory Lane Karting in Charlotte. He put me into the barrier so hard I thought I cracked a tooth. You have to love a driver who refuses to take any race casually. Dude wanted to stomp me and did so with glee on his face. We caught it on tape. Robby is one of my favorite drivers now.

The news alert said it was 'subscription' site... but article popped up find for me.

that's cool.
there is a video out there somewhere where Robby took his crew out kart racing before.
If you've never kart raced at a good facility like that I highly recommed it. I remember my first time. My first few laps were slow until I got the feel for it. After that I was putting up respectable times but stll needed to shave off 2 seconds to be considered fast. Races were ~8 minutes. The second race I was floating it into the tight corners instead of driving in deep and then braking hard...times got a little better. After two races I thought my arms were going to fall off. I wish the place wasn't an hour away, otherwise I make a few trips a month.
I am still recovering from the 2 indoor cart races I did last May. Tore multiple muscles in my shoulder. Funny thing is I had so much fun I would do it again tomorrow if my shoulder could hold out. Sucks getting old.
Kurt Busch built a beautiful indoor facility here in Vegas for anyone who comes to town and might want to check it out. It's close to the Palms.
I might have to check it out the next time I go to Vegas for bowling. The leagues I have been on bowl at the Gold Coast.
