Fiambala > La Rioja

Connection: 4 km | Special: 253 km | Connection: 261 km | Total: 518 km
As concerns crossings, the day’s special is a concentrate of technique. Various types of dunes will be encountered, including the very formidable “white dunes”. Just three days from arrival, this stage can scramble rankings, especially because the assistance vehicles will not have access to the Fiambala bivouac. The Golden Rule is still: “know how to economize your machine”.

The more the VWs fight for the lead the better for us! Each of those guys are hungry for their first Dakar win and they'll cannibalize each other from here on out. Team orders....hell no! Neither of them will listen. They'll give the nodd nodd wink wink and hide the the finger.

likely true kurt. They are so close to a win and so close together they will be pushing each other bigtime. Dont know if they will get marching orders tonite as to who supports who, or if VW insists on a 1/2 finish, but they could definatley ignore and trash a car trying to take this tommorow.

Damn - My house lost power for over an hour and it looks like I missed a lot... wished RG could have gained more time on first and second, but moving into a commanding third is more than could be asked for.. two rabbits down, two to go!!
