Stage 11 canceled

As the weather forcast for tomorrow announces heavy fog on the whole route of stage 11 and as the timing of the stage cannot be altered due to the crossing of the Andes and the crossing of the border between Chile and Argentina, the organizers of the Dakar have decided to cancel the portion of stage 11 between Copiapo and Fiambala that should have been against the clock. The participants will be getting to the Fiambala bivouac in liaison.

WTF?

Just got in from work and hopped on here to find an excellant day for our team, but also read about the cancellation tomorrow...It is what it is!!!
They must have cancelled at least 1000km of total racing so far in the rally. This is an advantage for the more complicated factory vehicles. The simpler design of the Hummers should outlast the VW's and remaining Mitsu and BMW's, but not if they keep knocking milage off of the race.
yep, That Hummer need's time to catch those quick little rabbit's, it's showing
Hey, FLY........... I understand that you are working on the crew now at the race. I have followed this DAKAR race since Robby started it years back and I see you have been around it in some fashion or another. So I sence you have some inside dope so here is a question. It seems to me after following this race and listing to the comments of Robby, that the Hummer is not quite suited for a lot of the stages. Some areas the Hummer is good and that most the VW's are more suited for the course. Do you use the present platform or do you go to the similar one like the VW's for next year? I know Robby has history with TOYOTA. I remember when Ivan Stewart drove for toyota back in the day in the stadium & off road races. They (toyota) have the knowledge and engineering seems to me this might be the way to go. What do you think Robby has to do with the present Hummer to be competitive?
Hope you dont mind if I pipe in here. I myself, and I bet many of us here are already thinking of a bad to the bone Toyota Four Runner All Wheel Drive V-8 in our future if we know our guy!!! Then lets see whats those waskly wabbits have!
I don't think Fly actually leaves his mansion (house arrest?) and certainly wouldn't actually get dirty at a race. =P I don't know his exact connection with Robby but he is clearly an insider.
Who is this fly person anyways?
You're worst nightmare?.... JK!
First off I don't work for Robby. He works for me.

There are several things I would like to see changed on The Monster. Right now it's pretty seasoned and has finally evolved into a machine that can run with these guys day in and day out. The engine restrictions the ASO have imposed are somewhat lopsided at the present time. So the first thing to do is have Robby continue to complain so the ASO lets up a bit. If they don't then he may have to come up with a bit different configuration like a 3.0 Toyota IRL engine.
Sooooo FLY is it a secret? What is behind door #3? Robby works for you????? Can you explain....thanks.
This just in: Tow truck leads stage 11 followed closely by ... trailer.
This sounds like a Bull S#!^ NASCAR move, has Mike Hell...ton infiltrated the Dakar officials
