I agree, its PEAKS contest so there rules. On the other hand its stock car racing of the wrong kind and Its MWracing that is getting the attention from its so its a double negative as far as im concerned! The Waltrips and NasCRAP deserve each other. I admit to being anti NA$CAR but not anti circle track. I love sprint cars and midgets on dirt and pavement, I cant stand the side show that nascrap has became and people like Waltrip banking on it. I love how the brightest star coming along to that show already has admitted that he much rather be racing in the dirt with a wing than on pavement with fenders, Would love to see Larson come make some laps in a Class 1 or TT as well as the SST's! Just my .2 and I was really happy to see Robby get away from the slot car copy cat racing that NASCrAp has became. It used to be a great series....but so did indy. Both ran into the same issue....Rule books that don't allow progression and vehicles that don't even resemble the street going cars. As for indy. It died when one motor one chassis one tire one this one that crap started. What is fun about the indy 500? Nothing anymore, speeds are the same the have been the engineers all draw from the same sheet and the motors are all the same... To each there own.

David is already eligible for a 'touring series license' already . He needs to be 18 for a Truck/NW/CUP license.Which is probably why they have a minimum age of 18 for the contest.IMO
Yes, I have an CUP rule book, courtesy of TOG .shit, now that I'm Whelen Hometrack official you think I would have read Nascar's Hometrack rule book.We don't use it,we have our own Track and Class rules.

NASCAR Lowers Age Limit For Touring Series: NASCAR announced it has lowered the minimum age for drivers competing in its regional touring series to 15. The change, effective immediately, will be applied to drivers in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour and NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. In a corresponding move, the Learner's Permit License for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series will be applicable for all divisions at NASCAR-sanctioned tracks. The Whelen All-American Series is NASCAR's national championship program for its more than 55 sanctioned short tracks across North America.(NASCAR)(2-13-2011)

I enjoy Rob Harris's video work
As far as Dave wanting to give a go at MWR's talent search,I'd say, David set your sight's higher than Mikey's gong show.

Has it always been 18 years of age?

I actually have no problem with this. It's their contest and they can make whatever rules they like. I'm pretty sure too that Nascar isn't falling over themselves to let him in based on his opening comments. Not sure that was the smartest way to get his case heard - apparently he's too young to see how Nascar has handled this attitude in the past.
