thanks mate. no worries if you don't get to glen with an answer. I guess the crux of my question is how do they faithfully translate your terrific design onto the car.
I know, the Jackie thing is kinda weak, but TOG seemed to like it in my pre race report...
so the rendering gets sent to the wrap vender and then RGM applies in the shop, or do they tape and paint in-house? If so, how do you ensure the taping matches the rendering?
great gig by the way...how much longer you going to be with them?
hey "Jackie", thanks for the updates.
I'd be curious to know more about how RGM goes from taking a final rendering and converting it into the paint scheme we see on the car at the track.
I keep forgetting that I go by my real name on Twitter @jacistarkey. Just wanted to let you know incase you were curious who that strange person that responded was. They kept saying how hot it was on TV, so I thought of you. I hope you are enjoying your time at RGM. When do you come back to reality?
My approval?? That should be the last thing you're concerned with! I love reading your adventures, sounds like the perfect job to me. Except that I'm a writer and not a designer. IMHO, you may want to consider a new blog for every day since you have so much to offer. It can get lost running together with previous entries. But just passing along some wisdom from an old master... Do whatever works best for you.
Good logic, summers and weekends off are good. Also, you will be impacting the lives of so many more and in a much more important way. I've never asked what grade(s) you were want to teach (history right)? I bet you are having fun seeing the inside workings of how the team runs on a day-to-day basis. Probably a lot more to it than most of us will ever know.
You got outta the mountains and a multi-millionaire served you a hoagie on his private plane. What's your definition of the big time?? Enjoy every minute of this awesome opportunity! We have a lot of fond memories of the Pocono track when we used to make all the races in the mid-90s. Probably the only track that hasn't changed over that time other than a few more seats.
You might want to paste into a text editor before publishing. It will remove the formatting so you can see what you're going to get. Just a suggestion...
