Profile Information:

When did you become a Robby fan ?
I've been a Robby fan since he came to NASCAR. I cheered for him when he was with Childress and loved his style. Robby reminded me of the guys that raced way back when, ready to take on the world and stand up for himself and not take shit from anyone.
What type of racing do you like ?
Yes
Will Robby ever win the Dakar Rally ?
Hell Yes!

Hadn't been here in a bit to post so I thought I would stop by and say hello! Hope your holiday was a good one. I know I had good food and company for the day. Take care and post when you can!

Here is a link I thought you might be interested in reading:
    http://www.skirtsandscuffs.com/2010/11/kevin-conway-nascars-2010-sp...
There is a thread on this here somewhere. Different link, but it is the same article.
    Have a great week!
  • Sarah

Joan, Here is the link you need for your work! http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/ Just type in the address and it will give you the correct zip code. It will also tell you if an address is incorrect as well. Trust me as I have had a volunteer job doing address searches for the last 10 years. When people talk about having a little black book, I will show them mine with over 14,000 names. Happy to say we mailed out just about 12,500 envelopes early on in Nov. and I have only had about 200 come back. I have thankfully found most of those corrected address or the post office included a nice helpful yellow sticker with the new address on them. Let me know how it goes!
  • Mouseking7

Hey Joan!!! Just stopped by to leave a few Mouse tracks along your page as well! How are you?? Cold here this morning! Close to zero degrees and wintery mix of crap coming in for Sunday! Hating winters more and more every year! Take care!

  • Jaci

I didn't actually stay up. I just set my alarm to get up around 3am. Unfortunately, we had cloud cover here so I wasn't able to get any pictures. I'm tired of this cold, but it's not likely to go away anytime soon. Hope you have a happy holidays.
  • Sarah

Greetings Joan!  Been really busy here so I haven't been able to post much. Not had much to post either.  Guess that is a good thing. Take care of yourself over the holidays!

Hope your holiday will be filled with fun and memory making moments.

  • Sarah

Hope you have a happy New Years!
  • Sarah

Hey Joan!  Just wanted to stop by and say Hello!  A bunch of us (about 75) got on here Friday night to do a chat for Laughlin.  Robby won the 'Leap' by having a distance of 125 feet.  It was cool to watch as Kevin video taped it from there.  Also Terie (VassnVegas) was there hanging out with Robby.  She sent some really good pics of them together and said they chatted for a good bit too.  Another friend sent me a link to a pic of her in the background- too funny!

Anyway, hope the winter hasn't worn you down too much.  We have had a grand total of about 1 1/2 inches for the entire winter here.  I am NOT complaining at all!  Counting down until Spring!

Take care and have a great week!

  • Sarah

Hey Joan!! Up until this week, we only had an inch and a half all winter. On Wed. we got about 4 inches, but the roads were cleared by the next morning. This coming week we are expected to get sleet and freezing rain for 2 days. Can't tell you how excited I am over that! NOT!
Hope winter continues to move quickly and spring/summer will settle in to stay awhile. Just hate the winter time.
    Take care and keep warm!!
  • Sarah

I agree winter sucks! We didn't get anything but rain here. YES!!! The ice went to the north of us at the MD/PA line. It actually was very nice today and supposed to get up to the 50's in the next few days. Rain again on Sat. but NO snow!
Any super bowl plans?? Not sure if I care too much about it. Know for sure I don't want Pittsburgh to win!
    Take care and keep warm!
  • Sarah

Not so bad here. Temps in the 40's, but chance of icy conditions overnight thru early am, Supposed to get up into the 50's for Sun/Mon. Don't fret though as it is supposed to get back down to the 30's again. Still counting down the days for spring.
As for hockey, I too love the game. I would suggest we meet up for one someday, but we would have to sit on opposite sides of the rink as I am a die hard CAPS fan. Actually, I would sit with you, but I would insist on wearing the RED!
Have a great weekend! Love to ya!!
  • Sarah

Here is a link with lots of Parker info. Robby didn't do well, but what else is new this season. Hopefully, the Nascar season will be better.

  • Sarah

Note the time! Sometimes I just don't sleep so tonight I thought I would change over to the new stuff and be in tuned to Robby's new colors, etc. Not like I will be able to support him with the new product. As a hyper person, it has taken me 3 days to drink a monster.
Hope things are or will get better for you and your daughter. Hate it when I hear of my friends having bad times.
    Have a great Friday!
  • Sarah

I will see if I can get it later for you. You shoud join us in chat right now while Robby is racing. Also the scanner on Nascar.com is free so you can listen to Robby!! http://premium.nascar.com/pr/races/scanner/cup/race/drivers/rgordon...
  • Sarah

Greetings Joan! New week so new stories I see. No Speed in my area to even try. I don't like to buy stuff online unless I know I will like it. Not wanting to pay for shipping/handling.
Hope the weather is finally settling down your way. Not been to bad here so no complaints.
  • Christy... aka "robbyfan1st".

Thanks for keeping in touch Joan. That wreck Sun sure played havoc with a lot of drivers. I thought I replied to your last post...maybe didn't hit " enter",lol. I too wish Robby would race a complete season, but as we have heard him say many times,"it is what it is"lol. I have started following Brad Keselowski as he is from the town next to where I grew up, Utica,Mi. Rochester, Mi about 4 miles west of Utica. Brad has attitude similar to Robby's, don't you think? godspeed to all the drivers, because anything can happen at anytime, ala Sundays fiasco. Take care, Chris
  • Sarah

Just checking in. Thinking last week you were talking about snow and this week it is heavy rains and flooding! LOL Not much going on here. Hope you are doing well.
  • Sarah

Greetings Joan. Hoping the surgery went well. Please keep me posted.
As for Kyle, I just watched him win again in the Nationwide series. Maybe they should go back to calling it the 'busch' series again!! lol !! I don't dislike him. I like anyone who gets booted from Hendrick cause he "isn't going to do anything" and then wins, wins, wins. Kinda like giving ol' Ricky a big on finger huh!?! As for Samantha, I know someone who has known her since before she started dating Kyle. She is a really sweet girl. Got to see her in NH last year and she was really happy we followed thru by saying hi to her. Going to try to meet up with her in Kentucky this year too. Maybe get to spend a bit more time with her.
Anyway, you are in my thoughts. Fingers crossed all is well.
  • Sarah

Glad all went well with the surgery. Robby ended up where he did as he ran out of gas early on in the race. On the bright side, he stayed out of trouble and brought the car home clean. He is still in good shape with the points esp. since he is only running a part time schedule.
I am very Happy that Happy Harvick won! You know he is also my favorite driver besides Robby. The race was soooo boring until the last 4-5 laps. Those final laps made the race.
    Have a great week!
  • Sarah

Hey Joan! Hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday! Not much going on here. Just really busy at work. Had to work some late nights last week as a coworker was out on vacation. No worries as it equals OT.
Take care and have a great week.
  • Sarah

HAPPY BIRTHDAY belated but still with the best of wishes. Just finished watching the Richmond race. BORRRRINNNNGGG!! Robby had a terrible car.
Hope all goes well with your surgery too. Keep in touch and have a good week!!
  • Sarah

Sending hellos to you. Hoping all is well. Not a big weekend for Robby, but interesting for me as a Harvick fan. Not saying either driver was right or wrong with their behavior, but isn't it sad when the best part is the fight at the end? Last several races have been boring, boring, boring until the last 10 or so laps.
Maybe the rivalries of the past several weeks will give us something to watch- naaahhhhh Nascar will find a way to neuter them too.
Have a great week Joan!! Hugs!
  • Sarah

Robby stated during the TORR interview last week that because of the top 35 rules and the $$ from Nascar, he probably would have the car at all the events this year, HOWEVER he will only race about 15 of the remaining races. Much better than what he original said he would race.
Hope your health is better and all is well. Been too busy to get on here lately. Got a big banquet to plan next weekend, and it is taking up all my time besides work. On a cool note, my Toyota FTS is bringing me a new supply of the Speed drink. He picks it up for $4ish a 4 pack for me. ;) Tastes good!!!
Take care and have a great week!
  • Sarah

Hey Joan! Don't know if I will have time to watch the race this weekend. Not sure if I even want to anymore. They have been dull, dull, dull until the last few laps anyway. No rivalries, no excitement, no make/model superiority, etc.
Thanks for the holiday wishes. Hope you are feeling better. Hope you also have a great holiday. Remember the reason for the holiday!!
    Hugs!!
  • Sarah

As a Harvick fan, you know I loved the outcome of the race. Until the end, it was quite boring though.
Hoping your eyes are getting better. Speaking of eyes, I can't wait to see how this one plays out!

  • Sarah

Greetings Joan! Just stopped by to say hello. Didn't watch the first part of the race on Sunday. I saw a really good movie called Super Eight. Then when I got out of it, we had some thunderstorms here so no getting on the computer for me. Not that I missed much by the review of the race day.
Understand Robby will get some seat time this weekend. Would love for him to finally get a win. He's got to catch up to my other favorite Harvick!
Hope your eye gets better soon. I know it has been worrying you. Not much else going on here. Got to go and get some housework done. No one else here so the mess must be mine! lol!!
    Have a great week!
  • Sarah

Robby is doing a limited nascar schedule due to funds. By putting some of these people you mentioned in the car, he can go elsewhere and concentrate on other racing events or Speed promotions. IF Robby is just going to do a Start and Park thing, does it really matter what caliber of a driver he puts in the car? Think Robby would get 'better' people if he were going to have the car in for the entire race. Better yet, Robby would drive the thing himself. All comes down to funding.
Have you tried Speed yet? I am not much on the energy drinks, but I did try Speed. Great tasting stuff. This Sunday's race was not one of Robby's best. Hoping for better things next week.
Hope your eyes clear up soon. Take care. Have a great week!
  • Sarah

Hey Joan!! I come and go, usually on raceday for chat. Heading with a group to KY to see the race. Hoping this one will be better than the season has been as the races are only entertaining the last 10 laps. Hearing Robby won't be there, then he will be there to qualify, then he won't... I am so confused! Thank goodness for having friends there. I know either way, I will have a great time.
Hope you get to head over to Salisbury, MD. Busy area this time of the year with everyone heading to the beach. Take care and enjoy the rest of the summer!!
  • Sarah

Sitting here in Jaci's house in Columbus now. We are meeting up with Missy and heading to the track tomorrow morning. Yes, I drove. WV borders KY, but from where I live I have to drive in and out of 4 states before I even get to KY. How funny (or sad) is that!?! Took just over 6 hours to get to Columbus from home, but now the fun can begin. Have fun in MD!
  • Sarah

Greetings Joan. I am here!! I stop by here now and then, but since most of my friends have went in other directions, it is not as often as I used to visit. I think so many people have given up or just don't care anymore. I know I find Nascar sooooo boring. Tune in for the last 10 laps and you haven't missed a thing.
It was good to see Paul win. You know how I love RCR, so any win for them is a good one in my book. Wish Kevin was having some better luck.
Still NOT finding Speed drink in my area, but my Toyota FTS picks it up for me during his travels and brings it by the shop. It is really good. Yellow is my favorite. I think if Robby has the right marketing, he will do well with it.
Kentucky was a good weekend for me. I am the type of person who needs to be at the track as soon as it opens, so I was not caught up in the traffic jams except for the ride home on Sat. night. I got lots of autographs, photos and even shared some laughs with Harvick. It was also good to spend time with some friends here.
Well enough from me. Hope your health problems are better. Take care and have a great week!!
  • Sarah

Hey Joan! How are things with you? Not much happening here. Didn't even watch the race yesterday until the last 30 laps. See I didn't miss anything- again!!! Racing is so borrrrriiinnnggg lately.
Nascar needs to do something to make the races a little more entertaining. Lowering prices might help too. Can't believe how empty the stands are this season.
Hope things are good with you! Have a great week!
  • Christy... aka "robbyfan1st".

Hi Joan, was just checking Robby's page and saw your last message...Don't remember if I read it b4 and acknowledged it or not.....getting old is a pain in thr tush, lol Still wish Robby the best and would love to see him RACE. I never thougut he would turn into a start and park...it makes me sad for him. I am sure finances are the reason but he has so much talent and heart....it's such a waste.Just watched a video of him in the TT. Wow....what fun he was having....would have scared the pudding out of me,lol. Hope you are doing well and the cataract problem is resolved. take care,Chris
  • MichiganFan

Hey Joan! Just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful holiday season! :)

  • Sarah

Hey Joan!  I'm sorry I missed sending you Christmas wishes, but I at least wanted to wish you a Happy New Year.  Hope all is well with you.

  • MichiganFan

Hi Joan. I hope you have a great new year as well, and that 2012 is your happiest year ever! :) Take care!
  • 1splat

    Joan,
I sent your message to TOG. He will let you know where he would like the check sent.
    Thanks for the support.
    Matt

  • Sarah

Had a moment to swing by the planet so I thought I would stop on your page and say hello. Hope the new year is bringing you better luck and much happiness!

  • Sarah

Got your note Joan and I am glad to see you are back with us. Hope the medical scare is all over and your health is returning! I don't post much on here but I do come here to catch up on things now and then.
Take care and keep in touch!!

  • Sarah

Thought I would stop by and see how you were getting along. I am hoping you are continuing to get better. Have a great week!

  • Sarah

Thought I would post a hello and see how you are doing. Posted to the Mouse as my CAPS beat his Bruins tonight. Have a great week!!

  • Ms Gibby

Hi, Joan. Hope you are fully recovered from your eye surgery now. How's your daughters arm? My son could tell her all about plates and screws -- he did a number on his wrist a few years back in a motorcycle/dog crash. Lol, he got a metal detector for Christmas last year and the first thing he did was hold his wrist up in front of it.....and it went off.
Still miss seeing Robby on the track. *sigh*

  • Pathfinder7

Hi Joan, hope this finds you recovered. I have been on a major weight loss campaign since end of February. I have lost 34 pounds and a bunch of inches to date. I'm not done yet but I feel amazing. How am I doing it - one word - Herbalife!!! I am an independant Distributor and I use the products and I have to say they are amazing!

  • Pathfinder7

If you'd like more infoon Herbalife send me back a message. I am now down 36.6 pounds! Woohoo it's a great thing!

  • Sarah

I was making some rounds so I thought I would stop by and say hello! Hope all is well your way or at least everyone is on the mend. Missing Robby and the weekly grind. I tried to watch the entire Dover race, but I was bored.. bored.. bored.. Couldn't believe how low the attendance was either.
Take care and have a great weekend!! Love ya!

  • Pathfinder7

I can tell you that everything Herbalife uses is natural and there is nothing artificial. Do me a favor go to my web site at http://www.goherbalife.com/carolbartlett/en-us, register, I will accept you as a contact and then you can look over the products and decide for yourself. I feel completely amazing!

  • Sarah

Hey Joan!! You are right. It was some storm! I watched from the porch as I love that kind of thing. My power went out from Friday night until Monday am. Most places had power back in our area by the end of the weekend. A few places are still without, but not many. It was overwhelming to see all the trucks from the power company, highway dept. and tree trimming facilities. They were all parked at a local Lowe's parking lot. Lowe's moved years ago so the area is not normally used. The lot was packed!! Trucks with all kinds of license plates.
The heat is what is going on here now. Going to be 102 on Sat. Normal is low 90's. Humidity sucks, but at least it is NOT SNOW!!
I miss Robby racing, but I miss the race chat more. Miss talking to some of the friends here.
Keep in touch and keep cool!!
    Sarah

  • Ms Gibby

Hi, Joan. Had a relatively quiet 4th here. Roasting in the heat (my yard crackles when I walk on it) but we did get some rain yesterday..finally! They put on a big fireworks display every year at Paris Landing (on Kentucky Lake) but I didn't go....went last year but it took FOREVER to get out afterwards so I decided not to go. Too hot anyway. I could hear some errant fireworks in the surrounding neighborhoods but none close enough to see. Well, I did get to see fire & sparks flying in some trees in my yard from power lines arcing but I could have done without that! LOL. Good to hear from you. Take care & keep cool!

  • Monica Shaw

prayers to Shane Hmiel?? Thanks for the dog review he is our love and my service dog, can not waite for season to start and see everyone at Glamis again.

  • Sarah

Was up and couldn't sleep so I thought I would make my rounds here and say hello. Hope things are going well your way. Nothing to report here so take that as a good thing.
    Take care!!

  • Sarah

Hey Joan! Thanks for thinking of me. I was on vacation over a week ago and then I had the piles from heck on my desk to get thru. My evenings are spent with another project.
Hoping your friends cats are just going thru a phase as I have NO desire to see winter anytime soon. I still have windows open in my house. I am like you and I hope for a warm- no snow winter!
    Take care!!
