I became a Robby fan about 6 years ago....I had never even seen a Nascar race but happened upon the Speed channel while they were doing an interview with Robby. They mentioned "doing the double" and I remembered him because my only racing experience at the time was about 45 years of never missing the Indy 500, including watching Robby getting into a helicopter and heading to Charlotte for the 600. At that time I had not a clue about Nascar , but when the subject of the single car owner /driver and the myriad of challenges it presented was discussed I decided to hang around and watch the race to see how he did. I've probably not missed 3 races since.I don't watch Robby to see Nascar, I watch Nascar to see Robby. My life has been changed, a passion I never knew that was within born because of belief in the dreams of a man who never gives up and lives his life full speed ahead to make his dreams come true.He puts his money where his mouth is and will reach victory lane with the #7 car. He's already a winner, because he is who he is.
Hi CHristie - Great to hear from you. It was so exciting to see Robby up front at Dega - I only wish he could have stayed there instead of 37th finish - he said it was a bummer, and he is right. Just seems he never catches a break. The bumper lifted from all the pushing and they developed an oil leak and had to take the car off the track. I almost cried. Check in with me from time to time. Joan
Hi Christy - thanks for the e-mail, yeah I've had many retina tears over the years, thank God they have been able to fix them and I am no worse for wear. Loved the video of Max Gordon on his Razer - at 3 he is a chip off the old block - drives like his Dad. I can't believe it's June already. Have you been watching the races? Since RG is not running, we just usually watch the end to see who wins, the races have become very boring. Keep in touch Love Joan
