Glad to see you made it over...left a message for you via your sister also. RHG did a great job at Belle Isle and I love the car colors, so easy to spot. Been a Indy car girl for over 50 years and so glad there are so many races televised "today" as opposed to even 10 years ago. The Indy 500 has been a special race in my life since i was 8 years old, and I knew the drivers and there stories (like Nascar today) and looked forward to listen to the race , long before it was ever televised. Catch every IRL race I can just to watch RHR and of course Helio, just because, lol No Andretti's for me, I was an Unser girl !l .RHR is having a great year and probably surprised a few people. Continued success to Ryan, take care, both of you, Chris
Well, again glad to see ya over here. Please pass along a congrats to Ryan on all his success this year. How bout you girls, anything coming up for AAGR?
Ryan had a great season.. can't beat the win at Watkins!! Is he going to make any appearances for EPIC over the off season? I know that Jeff Simmons made some in South Dakota when he drove for the #17, and that's real close to my home!! How about AARG.. when do you race next? You girls kick ass!!
Hi Beccy, glad to see you made it here! I have a houseful of Robby fans for the race in New Hampshire this weekend. I'm hoping and praying for a good finish!
So glad to see that you made it here!
Had to track Ryan down at his own website to give him congrats on his FANTASTIC win at the Glen. and hope his mom is doing better.
Beccy - How was Australia? Heard you were traveing (via grapevine) What is your next race? Good to see you here, hope you post some photos. Christy wanted to dress her daughter up in a firesuit like yours for Halloween. I couldn't upload what I printed from RuR with you getting ready for the race in CA. I admire you as much as I do your Dad and Brother. Gotta run - keep in touch when you can. Joan
Hey Beccy heard you were out running the pants off the boys in the V-8's in Australlia. Couldn't help but laugh when I saw that you were the one who spun on the hot laps. Giving it 110% no doubt. And you got big kuddos from the instructors! Way to go!!!!
Tell Ryan congratulations on the great 3rd place finish. Was really hoping that he'd get his 2nd Surfers win and his 2nd win for RLR.
Hiya! Robby's horoscope is looking much better for 09, thank goodness. I was calling it the horrorscope for awhile. Thank goodness those aspects are done:)
Hi - Hope you and the family have a great holiday season. I didn't see All American Girl in the Baja list - Did you go? Looking forward to the 2009 season. Hope Ryan does well and you do well. With money being tight I guess sponsors are fewer, but I know the Gordons - you will always be able to get it together and race. Again Happy Holidays. Joan
I just got your comment on my page. Early this morning I was bouncing around between the Stage 2 chat, the live timing on Dakar.com, and the classifications page on Dakar.com and didn't have my e-mail open to know that I had a message on my page.
I know GrayAntiMater posted the links in the chat this morning, but for future reference, when you go to the Dakar website, there will be a banner near the top under the tabs and Stage info that says "Follow-up in real time tracking. follow the competors on line"...that is the live timing adn when you click on that it will open a new window (or tab if you are using Internet Explorer with the tabs).
For the classification pages, there will be a box just right of center that says "Current Race Order" and it lists the number of bikes, quads, cars, and trucks that are supposed to start the stage, how many have left the starting line, how many have passed through each of the check points, and how many have arrived at the finish. If I get to the site before the cars start, I will refresh the main page until I see the cars starting to leave, then I click on "Car" at the top of the column. Then I will periodically refresh that page to see where everyone is at. Once Robby leaves the start I will focus on the Checkpoints until he crosses one then I go to the next one. You can sort the classification page by the actual time they cross the checkpoint (or at the "finish" line) or by the total time it took them to get from the start to that checkpoint (or the finish). If you have any questions, let me know. I will not be on early in the morning for Stage 3 since I have to work tomorrow, but I will try to help in any way I can.
Hi Beccy, Happy New Year. How is Jagger doing? I'm sure he's pretty much an adult cat by now. I got a great cat before Christmas. He was rescued from Kentucky. You know what they say - Dogs have owners while cats have staff!
Hope you're having a great year so far. Looks like Robby is off to a good start. Let's hope it only gets better. Read something today that Ryan has a line on a ride for the season. Got my fingers crossed that it's true and that it's a good one. Would love to see him get that win at Texas (that he was robbed of last season) not to mention a few others.
I've got my fingers crossed that the story I just read and posted about Ryan is true and that he's got a ride with Vision. Tell him congrats. I'm thrilled he's got a ride and I can root for him again this year.
