Profile Information:

When did you become a Robby fan ?
I've been a Robby fan since he came to NASCAR. I cheered for him when he was with Childress and loved his style. Robby reminded me of the guys that raced way back when, ready to take on the world and stand up for himself and not take shit from anyone.
What type of racing do you like ?
Yes
Will Robby ever win the Dakar Rally ?
Hell Yes!

Joan, the #204 car owned by Robby is the #04 Jim Beam/Menards Toyota that PJ Jones ran at Sonoma (and finished last). WIth that team being entered after the deadline (the deadline something like 13 days before the race), it was not eligible for owner or driver points.
  • Sarah

Thanks for the updates sweety! I appreciate them. Hope you have a great weekend. Of course, I hope Robby does as well.
  • Mario

Good thing Robby is pretty solidly in the Top 35 in Owner Points then. That 305 point cushion over 36th is nice. But he still has to be careful on race day when Scott Speed is in the field. As long as Robby can finish ahead of Scott more often than not, Robby will be just fine.
  • roush699

Haven't heard anything from you this week, is everything ok?
  • Sarah

Hey that's our Robby!! I don't put a whole lot into qualifying anymore if it is not "make it or go home". As Dale used to say, "When you don't qualify well, it just makes it more exciting for the fans to watch me go up thru the pack!" He was so right. Still miss him!
Here's hoping Robby goes right up thru to the front!!
  • roush699

Hey, maybe this week he will have a good finish, unscathed...it seems that when he has a good qualifying run and does well during the race, he has a crappy finish, so maybe the opposite is true? I hope you get some help from the gastro guy, feel better, please. As for the facebook thing, he should sue their pants off. That is just wrong.
  • Ms Gibby

Yeah, I noticed he was still stuck in 34th but was making the gap bigger over the next place. Wish he could WIN and score some major points!!
  • Sarah

Joan, I tried it this morning and it worked fine. Try it again. Maybe it was just down yesterday for a bit. You know how this site will go down for a few and then come back. Have a great Tues.
  • Sarah

Joan, my thoughts and prayers are with you that you will come thru all this with little or no problems. Keep me updated on the health issues. Use this site to distract you when you are feeling down. Some of the responses to different posts always make me laugh!! Take care!! Love ya back!
  • roush699

Joan, where are you, woman! Hope all is ok with you. Haven't heard from you in a while.
  • roush699

I hope it's something that can be quickly resolved, the coughing is not fun, I was like that when i had bronchitis. I'll keep going on prayers for you, keep in touch. As for Mr. Gordon, I see where they were having a decent day until the oil came out of Elliott Sadler's car. Hard to dodge every little thing.
  • Sarah

Keep me in the loop about things. Fingers crossed and prayers being said. Take care and here is hoping for a good weekend!
  • roush699

No, Joan , I stopped getting the Scene when they could not consistently deliver it, customer service was terrible. I did see that picture though and laughed to myself that RG made sure he was next to that trophy. There were a couple of F2's over in Maryland, we had ugly thunderstorms last night and just a hard rain on and off this morning. I am going to try and get a couple of pictures of RG on my page, one is my favorite (from an old Scene) of him when he was in a fishing tournament with other drivers where he is holding up his catch, with this big smile on his face. The other is him at a younger age in the background of a picture taken of Mark Martin by a friend of mine.
  • Sarah

I am going to a race in PA tomorrow (Wed.) and Stremme will be there. I got one of the 100 pit passes the track gave away so I will get to see Stremme (the pass includes an autograph session with the drivers). Kyle B. and Kasey K. are to be there too. Not sure if there will be other big names as it just says and others on the tickets. Anyway, we will wear our Robby stuff to show our support. Kathy from here is going to meet me there so Robby will have some representation. Wish Robby was going to be there too!!
Take care of yourself!! I worry about you! Love ya back!!
  • roush699

I have two of those "class of" posters, I think one is from 2004, the other maybe from 2003, I got them in a sort-of trade with someone who wanted Batman stuff and I gave him an extra Mark Martin diecast I had. I agree with you on Robby telling what he was going to do on the radio, he always does that. Remember when he was in the Cingular car at Bristol a few years ago, he did the same thing and got parked. Keep us posted.
  • roush699

Arrrrghhhh!!! I am never home at 5:00 and of course, when i try to catch the midnight show, they become "NASCAR later", since they are not on at he normal time of 12 am. It figures, since RG is on.
  • Sarah

Stremme was a no show. Kathy and I did wear our Robby stuff. Had a great time and Kasey and Kyle were great. Hope Robby has a great weekend. You too!
  • roush699

Thanks for the info about the interview, I will try to catch it when I have a chance. I am so proud of our guy. When I heard that he made up a lap, then later he got the lucky dog, I was very hopeful that he would finish well. Maybe things are finally getting better.
  • Christy... aka "robbyfan1st".

Saw your comment about having a cardio cath in Sept...if you have never had one , don't worry about the procedure ....not bad at all. I was expecting something way different then what it was, although you must lay flat 4-6 hours after, that was tough, lol.I'll hope for the best for you, including the results. Take care,Chris
  • Sarah

You know I am saying prayers for you!! Not much going on here that is newsworthy. I get to meet Racingwench on Friday as she is driving thru my hometown on her way to her vacation. I have really enjoyed meeting friends from the Planet. Take care of yourself! Love ya!!
  • roush699

I really enjoy this site as well, especially with the friends, and the fact that we can talk and not be attacked. I hope your procedure goes well, I understand that people go through them all the time and it is considered pretty routine, but prayers are still in order.
  • roush699

What exactly happened? I missed it, and it's so hard to find out unless the RG site updates which they are slow to do, or hope someone mentions it on here.
  • roush699

I told that boy to stay away from the wall! LOL
  • roush699

Joan, you know wayward is a nice way to say he is hardheaded!
  • roush699

I've wondered about that. But maybe that was a "Menard's" --as in the store----
    related type of thing.
  • Sarah

Happy Monday Joan!! I can't go to Terie's either. The gang has discussed going to Vegas next year, but we have never set anything in stone yet.
    Hope you are feeling well!
    Sarah
  • Sarah

I try and try to watch the races, but they just don't do it for me anymore. I wish Robby would have a change of luck. I also wish for a million dollars, a dream beach home, a new convertible, etc. etc.etc.
I got to meet Racingwench 2 weeks ago. I really enjoy meeting the Planet people. A bunch of us will be getting together at the House of Mouse in a few weeks. Even if Robby doesn't do well, we will have a great time.
    Take care of yourself!
  • Sarah

You are so right, Robby is NOT a media darling. That's ok. Both of my favorites are the bad boy type. They only get mentioned when they are near or do something to the chosen ones. I don't watch the tv much or if I do I have MRN on the radio. They do mention Robby now and then. I also like their broadcasts a lot better. It is what I grew up on as the races weren't on tv until the late 80's.
Hope you have a great week. Don't let it get to you!
  • Pathfinder7

Hope you're feeling better after the cath! Lay low and take care of yourself!
  • Sarah

Hey Miss!! Hope all is well your way. I didn't watch too much of the race Sunday. Got a lot to do this month and I never seem to have enough time.
  • Scott B

    Hope you feel better!
  • Sarah

This is one of the best articles I could find on the race: http://www.eldoraspeedway.com/news.html
This link will show you some great photos including ones of Robby: http://www.eldoraspeedway.com/weeklyphoto/09album909a/index.html

    I hope this helps you!!
  • Sarah

It was great to see Robby win!! 'Bout time I say. Gotta keep the faith that he will do well in other areas as well. Take care!
  • roush699

That is the closest he ever gets to where I can see him, except Dover which is equidistant. One of these days I will run into him. I can't imagine RG with makeup over his eye, it was funny enough when he kept wearing his shades to hide it. Did you see it when it was still really nasty? It looked like he popped all of the blood vessels, and it was ugly! I think that may have been his "badge of honor".
  • Sarah

Keeping fingers crossed for him and for you as well. Please keep me in mind to let me know how it goes! I am sorry I missed the tv show. Been really busy here. I usually am in Sept., Oct, and Nov.
    Take care lady!!
  • Sarah

Hey I hadn't heard from you in awhile so I thought I would stop by to see how you are doing. How did the visit to the Dr. go?? Good news I hope!
  • Sarah

Don't know if I am more happy to know you are ok or pissed to know what you have been thru. Guess we will focus on the good news. Here is hoping we can look back on this one day and laugh about it.
All is ok this way. Not excited about Nascrap at this time. I turn it on and listen to it as background noise. Wishing we had more to celebrate. Maybe Doug Richert can help us with that thought. Can't hurt!
    Take care!!
  • Sarah

Just flying thru to wish you a good day. I'm ready for the weekend. How about you?
  • Sarah

Hey Miss! Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but Dega is my favorite track! Love being there, but hate watching it as I want to be there. A friend of mine who works security at the track is NOT looking forward to this weekend. He said it is bad enough having to deal with the drunks on race weekend, but to have them in costume too! Glad I am not him, but still wish I was there. (Told you I love the place!)
    Have a great weekend!!
  • Sarah

It was awesome here!! It was the first time in a long time I stayed for the entire chat. Everyone was so psyched!! Of course I was thrilled being a Harvick fan too as he led some laps as well. I thought the same as you when I saw Newman's car come down on Kevin's. Just about a foot or two made the difference. If nothing else it showed Robby and the team were doing well together. Good thoughts for next year.
  • roush699

I was very excited for him when he led, and especially when he did so well all race long. It never lasts **sigh**. I have been extremely busy and was sick last week, still am coughing but feel much better. Hope you are healthy!!!
  • Mario

I am still around...and doing ok. It was great seeing Robby racing at the front at Talladega. It shows the potential that RGM has. Maybe next year will be the year.
  • Pathfinder7

All are doing well here! I just got over a cold which was the first I had in quite a while! RG's run in Dega was great until the end and he showed that he really can run up front! I think having Doug on board as CC has made a difference in Rob as well as the crew.
  • Walt Pendleton

I might hook up with the Robby Gordon team. I might shoot video this time. Its all good.
  • Sarah

Stopping by to say hello and to see how you have been. Hope all is well your way.
  • Sarah

Thanks for the update sweetie! I am glad to hear from you as well. Hope Robby has a great weekend. Would be nice to end the season on a high note! Take care!!
  • Sarah

Well I could send you my address so you could overnight one! ;p Seriously, have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the treats!
  • Sarah

PM your email address and I will give it a shot. I personally am not a fan of any of the Hendrick drivers. I tried to be positive about Mark Martin as he is overdue, but in the end ol' JJ got it. Hoping Robby has a fantastic winter.
  • Texas SpeedDiva

Just wanted to stop by and say hi since it's been a while. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
  • Sarah

Sometimes my body insists it is time to wake up even though my mind says, "I don't think so!" Right now is one of those times. Just thought I would go around and posts 'good mornings' to some people here. Hope you have a great day!
