We just got that damned 8-10" last evening! Nothing going on in the mall and they shut our store down at 10:30. I'm sure you guys are feeling the effects of the auto crisis!

So far so good here. We have been told there may be chances of snow,ice, etc... but I just checked for the newspaper and there was nothing!! Can't say I am upset over that one!

Just stopped by to say Happy New Year to you and the family. i worked until 8:00 pm tonight , but don't have to be back to work until Mon Jan 5th at 1:00 pm. Is that cool or what, lol The kicker is that I have a lot I could do but don't have to do...can you say ,read, read , read, lol All is well on this side of town, how about The S.H., MI ?. I bet the girls are having a great time with the vacation. Our kids have been off from school since the Friday before Christmas, Anthony has gone up North twice for 4 days each to snowmobile and had a great time .If I could lose weight by worrying during that time life would be good, lol, but he sure had a good time. well, only 6 more weeks to Daytona, I think I'll make it, the serious withdrawal has been over a week or so, lol It's all downhill now. Hoping for the best for RG in the Dakar, he puts so much heart into his racing efforts. his bad luck breaks my heart. Well , on that high note, I'll again wish you a safe and happy New Year.. Hi Sheila!!! It has been too long! Sorry. Haven't been on here in a good while, I guess. Occasinal quick check in, but with it being between racing seasons and all.... Christmas is more important. Spending time with the family has been great. And don't forget the shopping....doing lots of that, too. Just saw Marley and Me last night.....cried my eyes out...had trouble holding back the sobs so no one could hear me....I love dogs.....man's best friend and that goes for us women too! Dogs don't care if you've gained weight over the holidays, have acne and a bad hair day! Diamonds don't either, but they can't show how happy they are to see you, either!
I'm hoping 2009 proves better than 2008, but the future is hard to see. Have a great one! Nice to hear from you!!!!!

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I can't believe your tree fell, but look on the bright side, at least you didn't use time un-decorating it. LOL Good that you only lost a few of the decorations and not all of them. Didn't do much on NYeve, but I did wake Jared up, watched the ball drop then toasted w/ pumpkin egg nog. This place has been like Grand Central Station w/ kids the past 2 weeks. But you have 2 that stay home and fight w/ one another, poor girl you! You know we have all these groups here, why not start a "I hate winter one"? It is supposed to be up in the 40's today, but some dang clipper is coming my way to give us a high of 19 later this week. Hi Sheila! Nope, I wasn't following along. Got too wrapped up in busy stuff. My husband just chided me for not knowing what was going on with Dakar. He said "you don't even know where your boy has been running, do you....he's third!" I didn't believe him. I thought he meant third in a special, not overall! So, I have been slapped with a wet noodle and I will try to follow along better (well I guess today's the last day of it. He's doing pretty good overall!
It's my daughter's 12 birthday yesterday! She is having a sleepover party tonight. We are breaking out the chocolate fountain!!! I'm not a fan of sleep overs....too much work and the girls stay up sooo late, trying to get them to sleep is like banging my head up against the wall. So, wish me luck! Oh, and yes it is brrrrrrr.....COLD! 22 degrees today!

Yes, Robby did very well in Dakar and he should be really happy with 3rd place!!!! I too will be glad when we can watch the races again on Sundays! Soon enough!!!!!!

Have you ever used Airborne? Works for J all the time. Think they have lemon/lime flavor and grape for kids. I'm sooooooo hoping for NO snowdays! I'm still recuperating from Xmas break! 2 weeks is long enough. Not much else going on up here now that Dakar is done. Hubby saw the highlights today on Versus, (the Hummer flip) and says "WOW! Is that Robby??????" I'm like yep, it's Robby. Surprised he even sat down to watch w/ me. Usually if it's Dakar, Nascar or baseball he goes upstairs to watch tv. LOL Which is good.....leaves me w/ the 42" screen. hehehehehe Take care and TTYL :)

No one I know would Ever believe that i am not my usual chatty self, lol. I have just had a lot of extra curricular work related issues the past two weeks. an all day seminar of Fri, which is usually my day off and a sat seminar this week, which kills me to have to attend...first it's with our city manager, whom I like , but not enough to give up a Sat, lol and it's on a SAT, for crying out loud. I need the CEU's to renew my certification in May (still have 7 hours to get, but can do that online).Whew. add to the the usual stuff=no time on the planet. speaking of no time, I'm due back at the desk Right Now, no kidding, TTYL, hugs, Chris
