LOL..thanks, however Ning made this possible with their easy to use software. I just put the pieces together and sprinkled some magic dust and *poof* , a cheap suit imitation of RuR was born.
Thanks Sarah, happy 4th to you too. I've missed you and everyone else! Will have to send you my email address. I partied last night, today I am working open to close. On my break now.
Oooohh, Talladega. My son and I were there in 2004 (both races) and 2006 (October) -- first hand for all the great beer can tosses. Son says he is not going back because last time we were in the line of fire. (No injuries fortunately) Now if you were there at the same time, this is just toooooo strange!
We were in the Lincoln Grandstand top row in April 2004 but the other two (10/04 & 10/06) we were down in the grandstands just past start/finish line. April was toooo hot and humid so we stuck with October races. We were supposed to have gone in 10/05 but Thursday night before we were leaving on Saturday, my offspring wrecked his motorcycle and broke his wrist all to pieces. And as you know the tickets are nonrefundable....pfffft, three tickets right down the drain!
Yeah, it was too late to advertise in the paper or on eBay to sell them. I called it in to the radio station but who listens to local radio anymore (in this town anyway)? The killer was I had two tickets and at the last minute we decided to take the Beast so I had called the track and they had one more seat next to us available so I bought it. So I ate three when it would have only been two.
It is handled now by KerryEarnhardtOnline now, I believe. I'll have to check my old emails on the other computer. I'll do that in the morning.
Check out Pic 1 --- that's sweetie!
We were out most of the day house hunting, believe it or not.
But in between the showers, we got to see fireworks Friday and Saturday, there are two parks near us and we didn't have to leave the house to see their displays. Good thing, because our lab has decided in the last year that she is afraid of loud noises. Used to be she wasn't but now she jumps every time.Glad you had a great 4th!
Thanks for the luck wishes, we need them. I've noticed as I've gotten older, I don't mind not seeing the fireworks, that used to be a big deal when I was a kid, and I've been to the National Mall in DC to see them three times (several years ago)--I'm much less of a crowd person than I was back then. These days it's enough to do the barbecue thing, and hang out with friends and/or family.
Yeah, I don't blame your son, the Mall experience is definitely to be missed unless you are into that sort of thing. It's hot, miserable, easy to get separated from others (I got separated from my boyfriend one year, and, despite taking a ride on the Metro between the Pentagon and the Mall, we managed to find each other), the last time i went, I was with friends and not only did we stay most of the day in the heat, I came down with a migraine, and could not enjoy the show, also could go nowhere for relief.
Thanks, Sarah! My fav is the one that makes him look like Jon Wood. Robby's hair usually looks good, so that one was a keeper.
I was hoping that he was using the same strategy he used in the spring, and not just shitting the bed early! I am so happy for him!
Hey Chickie, so glad to see you found your way from the burg to Robbyworld/Planet Robby. I've lived in Robbyworld for a long time, so what's the big deal, lol I'm still geeked about the Daytona finish.I subscribe to TrackPass and it was so fun to listen to the scanner this weekend. he started out, tight, tight, blah blah, just cruising blah, blah, we're gonna win this thing..It was just a treat to hear their joy. Hope all is well with you, have a great week, take care, Chris
Don't worry. I am not going to pull the plug here anytime soon.Spend as much time as you need making your homepage unique. If there was ever an ending to planetrobby.com, I would at least give 7 days notice and send a mass email to all members.Keep in mind if Robbys Uprising does return from the dead,I will probably discontinue this site and resume my managerial duties at The Uprising.
