why they will go back to the 2 or 3 wide pack of cars....lol

Long range forcast is Sunny and 70 for the 500....so no way will they be able to do what they did last night for an extended period of time like last night.....the cars will overheat if they try that...
Yes, after the bud shoot out, 500 is going to be agonizing. I am wondering if anyone has designed a TIVO that kicks into recording mode everytime there is a wreck. That will be the only thing worth watching next weekend. My prediction, about 20 cars are going to finish the race.
the racing looks like a goofy video game with pairs of cars zipping around and then when the red (water temp idiot) light flashes you 'switch!' (Mark Martin said his oil temp warning light was on)

I hope the 500 is better racing. I'd be surprised if 20 make it to the end.
Nascars Noahs Ark racing is the dumbest thing that has developed yet, they may as well be pulling trailers that look like cars around. I would imagine Nascar will again make some changes in the restrictor plate. If they do not there will be 20 cautions for out of control 2 car drafts smacking into other cars. The guy in front can't stop and the guy in back can not see through the car he is pushing this is idiotic, I have already had it with the announcers trying to hype this up as good racing constantly. I am waiting for the 1st driver to say how this is not racing but NASCAR has probably warned them if they talk badly about the new type of racing.

matt
Saw that on Nitro Circus and it was way more exciting
See, now........I didn't think the racing was bad at all. It's just different. Different strategies playing out. And geez, the closing speed is crazy at times. I didn't have a problem with the 2 car pair ups.
I agree. So many more lead changes and the speeds are so exciting. Its not amazing racing but its not bad either.
Agreed. People complain no matter what kind of racing takes place here. I think you'll see a different kind of racing Sunday. The two car breakaways will still happen but they will be switching more often. The second guy isn't going to want to run that hot for that long in a 500 mile race. That should tighten it up a bit more. Keep in mind a few things. It was 40 degrees there last night, it will be in the 70s on Sunday. No points were given last night, hell, the guys who got knocked out were all smiling! When have you ever seen that?
My take on the 2 car pair ups, I thought it was kind of cool to watch. There's nothing safe about it though and, given enough time, they would have wrecked every car out there.
We will have to see. It seemed a little better, for a while, then started to show a pattern for the Twins and the 500. Let me tell you what won't happen again, that pass by Kyle on a re-start. Let's see him do that again. Though it was great at the time, it could have been a Big Wreck............
but there was no wreck...... that was amazing !!!!
If I had to guess, I wouid say that every spotter for cars on the out side line were saying "Stay in line here comes Kyle on the outside".....................
Didn't care for the "love bug" racing style too much. High side didn't work as well - slippery for the front car of the pair like what happened to Kyle and Mikey. Once they spread out a bit - unable to make those last minute passes in either the ARCA race or the shootout.
