I just want to say that I am the last person in the world that would ever ask for a favor, but in this case, I feel like it is warranted. So TOG, if you would please leave this up for at least a day for me, I'd appreciate it.

A few years ago, I met a fellow Robby Gordon fan on the NASCAR.com message boards. I actually met many of you there, but I found a friend in Hank Lee who is only a year older than I am. Through the years we have remained close and even raced online together for quite sometime. Hank won his very first race in one of my cars in fact. But thats not the point. Hank has always been good to me and now its time for me to try and help out a friend of mine who is giving up hope.

When Hank was 18, he left home for the land of nascar opportunity in North Carolina. That was 3 years ago and it has been a huge struggle for him to keep his dream alive. Hank went to and graduated from Nascar Techincal Institute last September, since then he has not been able to find any nascar related work except a brief stint working as a volunteer for Morgan Shepard. Hank spends his week submitting applications and calling teams to see if they will hire him, and to this day he has come up empty.

A few years ago a young Hank Lee met Mr. Robby Gordon who told Hank to seek him out when he was old enough and graduated. Hank graduated and submitted an application at RGM, but RGM is not looking to hire him at this time. So what I'm asking is that if any of you know ANYONE in NASCAR whether its a cup, nns, ncwts team that is looking for some mechanical help please please send Hank Lee a message on this site or ask me for his phone number which I will gladly give you. I would not do this for just anyone. Hank is a great friend to me and know one will work harder to keep his dream alive than Hank, but he wants to give up, and I felt like this was worth a shot no matter how little of a chance it has to succeed.

Hank would love to be a crew chief someday, but he knows thats not very realitstic, he just wants to have a successful career and achieve his dream and who can blame him? In 2009, I was able to achieve my dream and work for Robby Gordon Motorsports. It was brief, although I still help out every once and a while now, but at least I got to live my dream somehow, and thats all I am hoping for Hank. I'm sure Hank will do whatever it takes on his end to make this work, but it just takes that one contact to make things work out in his favor. I knew one person, TOG, who just threw my name out there and RGM took a chance on me. Now I'm just hoping someone here can find someone willing to take a chance on Hank.

Thank you all. I hope someone can help him out. I would hate for him to go home empty handed. TOG, if there are any problems you can move this to the racing discussion or call and yell at me. I just posted it on the main page to give him a chance to be noticed.

Sounds good sir, I've been bored. I'll leave my phone on.
I read someplace yesterday that BL's marketing company is handling the ART team... http://www.blmarketing.net/index.php

Somehow I am thinking that ART was originally thought of for getting TL back in a car, idea thrown about earlier this year sometime.
I hate to be so blunt but this is reality.

I started working with teams 3 years ago, I have 3 college degrees. Other than comp's, commission, industry friends and resume builders, I have really never been paid like I would with a full time job.

Sadly during that time I have seen several good friends, not only dedicated but talented crew members not just lose jobs but homes.

Its a very unforgiving business where your length of term is often dictated by your ability to under value and over work yourself while at the mercy of so many other things you cant control.

On the plus side, much like yourself Garrett. I feel privileged to at least played a small part in something I love so much. It certainly allowed me to go places meet people and do things I would have never been able to do other wise.
