Buenos Aires, Argentina (December 29, 2009) – Fresh off of an eight and a half hour flight from Miami, Florida, Robby Gordon and Team HUMMER have arrived in Buenos Aires ready to tackle the most grueling race in all of motorsports, the infamous Dakar Rally. Most of the team met up in Miami after traveling from different parts of the country – from North Carolina, California, Wisconsin, and Florida. After the long trip from North America to South America, Gordon held a brief team meeting at the airport to go over procedures and checklists for the next 48 hours, the most crucial hours before the Rally begins.

With the race vehicles, support equipment and vehicles delivered prior to the team’s arrival, they were picked up at the port before heading to the Torre Cristoforo Colombo – their temporary headquarters in Buenos Aires. “All of our stuff has arrived on time,” said Robby Gordon. “We are going to have a long night tonight though. The Vanguard and Monster Energy / Toyo Tires HUMMERs are pretty much set, but there are still a few things to tune up on the Chile HUMMER to get it ready for technical inspection in about a day and a half from now.” Over the next few days, the checklists will be crossed off for all three of the team’s HUMMER H3s before presenting at scruitneering on December 31st. One thing is for sure, the team is ready to show the world what they have spent months in advance planning and preparing.
