Rob MacCachren: "I'm so thankful to Mike Jenkins and Traxxas for giving me the opportunity to drive this truck. To Robby Gordon for having the dream of bringing racing back to the stadiums. I think it went off really well. There was a ton of work by the guys at SST, they have worked so many hours, they deserve big bonuses and raises and a couple of months off. Robby is a go-getter and we all appreciate that. The trucks were prepared awesome and the crew did a great job getting them tuned. It's really all about the driver and getting your setup right. I can't say enough about Robby and all his people who put in countless hours and we don’t even know who they are."

"It's good to win the inaugural event in any series,” he said. “It's definitely one of the highlights of my career, I'm happy."

Robby Gordon: "I'm happy with it, it was a good event, nobody got hurt which is the biggest thing. These are the biggest jumps ever in stadium truck racing. I wish we didn’t have as much carnage as we did. I'm not worried about fixing the cars; it's about putting on a good show for the fans."

“I want some clean racing, we are going to have to figure out how to get the cars turned over faster. The biggest thing is that we got it done. People now know that we are real. We ran about a half hour late and I'm a bit disappointed by that because I want to do a great job for the fans. If we have too many wrecks and rollovers that is a problem for the show. The other side is these cars are hard to drive. I wanted to put it in the hands of the drivers, but I am going to need the drivers to realize they have control of this thing. They have to be smart and not over drive it because slow is fast."

"I'm pleased with all my guys; they just killed it. If only you knew the amount of hours and work that went into getting this event done and making it happen."

And Robby we as your fans appreciate you . You worked just as hard as everyone . Congrats in such a great series and can wait to be there at a live event .
Amen Rob Mac. I wish all the Planeteers knew the hours RG's people put in, working almost to the breaking point. I hope they get their just reward. Will we ever know some of the people getting it done behind the scenes?
Thing is Flatlander we Planeteers DO know its all the other people that don't . The reason we love Robby so much is cause we know what a hard worker he is . And he surrounds himself with people who work just as hard .

Did you see Robby on that video watering the track with a hose? There is nothing this guy won't do. From signing autographs to shoveling horse shit - Robby will do whatever it takes to get the job done and always does it right! He's a classic.

Robby / SST Staff - Congratulations on a VERY successful debut and round 1 of SST.
I truly believe that this series is going to be BIG...Keep up the hard work!

Accolades to the entire event staff, SST support crew, RG and all who were part of the event. First time was really good. Everyone knows there can be improvements, but for us it was awesome.

Everything (meaning my life, my car, NASA, Mad Men) can be improved, but right out of the box it was awesome from my view! Great platform to start with, now just tune it up!!

RG...if you read this. Please tell your crew who have been working their asses off Thank you from the fans.

And a thanks to you for having a plan and sticking to it. Its gonna be a great few years

RG want to limit roll overs park PJ! He was 4 of the flips. PJ was way over driving turn one every lap. Very fun to watch though so don't park him. The off camber bump in turn 1 that punished corner cutters caused halkf of the flips. I know why it was there but if they removed it there would have been half as many rollovers. Being there I can tell you there is nothing more exciting then watching 12 trucks jump Mount Toyo on the first lap. WOW. The crowd went wild. The only saftey concern I saw was Justin's fire and Lalo missed the 2nd jump crossover and end up crossing on the 2nd jump landing ramp. 2 seconds later and he would have been T boned by an SST. That was scary. Watch for it on the 14th. a true oh Sh_T moment.

fireworks and pyro was awesome

I say keep PJ! He was competitive when he kept it on all 4's. just needs a little time behind the wheel. He probably didn't have as much time to prepare as the others did. Well take all the drivers we can get.

how did loft's foot catch on fire?
