That you would need to ask Dodge.

In case you never noticed, None of us here seem to have a friggin clue why.

Dodge seems to have lost any interest in RGM. When there wasn't some factory support to get Robby a Penske engine for Daytona I was puzzled? He had made the race and it just didn't look right to me. But, this was before Penske announced they were switching to Ford next year. Robby running his own engine didn't work not so wel, did it?

I don't have a lot of faith in Dodge doing well at anything they do in the future. The man in charge of Fiat is a fool and why would anyone think that Fiat could save any car company anyway? Come on, Fiat? You got to be kidding me!

I have a feeling that RGM will not be in a Dodge next season. Anyones guess at this point as to what he will drive next I think.

Because he is not racing this race.

Any confirmation that RGM has scrapped the Arrington Motors project this year? I assume so but never saw confirmation.

My question relates to Sonoma and WG. Will RGM lease a new R6P8 from Penske or use the old engine?

Maybe he should drop in a Brushless Motor.

I put one in my #7 RC Truck and it hauls ass now.

I will guess the answer starts with an A.

I don't think Penske provides engines on a ad hoc or à la carte basis.

Don't you think Dodge would have made it happen at Daytona if they cared about RG?

Was the problem at Daytona a Penske not wanting to/having the resources at the track to lease Robby an engine, or was it along the lines of Brian K last year where the engine mounts & plumbing at stuff would've had to be redone to get the Penske engine in the car?

You are correct. Swapping out a RGM motor for a Penske is not plug and play.

Robby's cars are set up for the R6series engine the same Penske.Brian K's old cars where set-up for the old engine. Becouse Penske's engine shop was prepared to supply 4 PR engines (one race, one spare per car) not 6.Listen to Robby's request again,he asked to use one of the spares. When you lease an engine, you get an engine,a spare,a tune technician.Cough up the 100k. Did Penske have a spare engine with the modified fuel injection manifold ready to go? Might be the biggest reason Robby didn't get the use of one.And if they had used one of Roger's bottom ends with Robby's (probably miss- matched) intake manifold, they would have burnt a piston still.Only this time it Rogers.
The new 'SRT' block is a closed deck vs open deck that the Dodge block has been since they returned to Na$crap. Not a big story, really.

Robby own's his Dodge engines.Arrington is the rebuilder.
