LOORS tells races to not support TORC.... Thoughts?



I know there are a lot of long-term Off-Road guys here, figured this could lead to an interesting discussion.

Saying that "they" are poaching "their" drivers..... I am sorry but no one owns these drivers, this is not Feld with the Monster Trucks. Taking ownership of something that "they" had nothing to do with inventing. I get that Lucas bailed out all of the short course series in the past. "They" should never dis own any one! You start pulling this Im Big Badder and Better than you, you'll be very lonely!

Robby's first words were something a long the lines of...... Everyone is welcome no matter what. everyone!

GO CURT LeDUC, his speach kicked ASS! I see Curt shaking his head and saying well fuck ya. We are going racing with or without you. Its very clear the drivers dont agree with this at all. Rob Mac crying tells you a lot! Its pretty clear that Lucas doesnt like to share period.

So at this point, SST with no Lucas involvement would be fine by me! They dont need to rule the racing world. I am fan of all kinds of racing and a huge offroad fan, I can see what Lucas has done in the past and i am thankful that the money has been there to bail situations out. But I can not see where pulling the NASCRAP rule of not allowing certian sponsors or not allowing the drivers to compete would be taking it way to far. He is only suggesting they dont at this point, what happens when more than half of them do it? Cause I am positive that 10-15 trucks from Lucas will be there regaurdless of this BS speech.

Now then, PLEASE PLEASE someone tell Robby that this is one he should race! I realize that with the SST thing going there is a lot on his plate but what better way to show everybody thay you know what your talking about than to go out and kick the asses of the people your trying to get to come race your series! You only own one of the best Pro2's out there!

I don't get the poaching drivers thing either, if LOORS had a race that weekend then sure that argument could kind of be made but LOORS is off that weekend & these drivers going to race TORC is no different then a NASCAR driver running an ARCA or ASA race on an off-weekend, or better yet a Whelen Mod Tour team running an ROC race on the off-weekend (with the same car they usually run on the WMT).

This reminds me of the Indy Car series. Back when open wheel was CART they had great crowds in the stands. After INDY CAR was formed the attendance dropped. As an example, when cart ran Ca. in 1998, 1999 they had 60,000 to 70,000 in the stands. After the INDY CAR boondoggle the crowd dropped to 25,000 to 30,000 people.
I hope Robby's new series takes attendance from both Short Course Offroad Series.
I'm thinking there aren't enough spectator's to support two or more series.

My Grandfather always told me to look someone in the eye when you speak to them, I hate that when people will not take off there glasses during interviews, big Bill France he is not, this reminds me of Chris Pook or Tony George.......we all know how well that turned out, as RG twitted when he was escorted out....be careful what you wish for

I have now watched the Video. I cannot believe what I have just watched. This is America. I can race in any series I am qualified to race in. I pay for my ride. If you want my help, maybe you should ask. Telling me to not do something, is not asking. I am new to Off Road racing. I understand that this type of thing happens. This ploy to intimidate the driver's was a bad idea on LOORS part. One more thing, the glasses...my mind was almost made up before he spoke.

Repeated mispronouncing of words and a "dry throat" are signs according to authorities in the professions of law and medicine to have a strong suggestion of severe nerves or self medication or in most cases a combination of both. The "shades" I'm told when I went on a field trip down to Franklin street (childs play) to research that aspect of the clip was according to the bums I threw a dime a hands down confirmation of a ..how did he put it...." a direct result of character flaw brought on by an insecurity that is without a doubt being masked by a foreign substance of the legal or illegal form" to quote a street professional.

Now that I understand Will . I really think in the end this whole thing will blow over the same way the whole Cart / IRL thing did .

it's not an argument,it was devisive.That being said,not every genre needs to be unified per say.
I far as the LOORS -TORC, I'm still thinking about it,maybe I might look into the facts,maybe not.
Honestly,I don't think it has a damn thing to do with Robby and the SST.
