Kyle smashing the guitar.....are people looking too deep into it?

I just got finished reading a article on nasar.com about this and they mention that it had a effect on the county music fans or music influence had something to do with it. I think that it was just a celebration, thats all...by the way, he did win it, and its his to keep. For fans that got mad, I think its none of our business what he does with his trophies....plus it got attention to Nascar, thats good.

He had talked to the guy, and hes building him 2 more. One for him, and one for crew chief.
He won it, thus it's his. If we start interferring with what people can do with their own property, we might as well move to China.
I Still like Kyle Petty's Comment "He isn't a rockstar, he's a racecar driver"
Long Live Rock !
Kyle is a great driver, but he is an a**hole.
Yep...I think that sums it up! You cant argue with either.
He shouldn't have done it. My opinion and also Sam Bass's...

From NASCAR.com

While the artist, Sam Bass, who spent 150 hours designing and painting the now broken guitar was stunned and shocked to see it destroyed 30 seconds after handing it to Busch, he appreciated the show the driver put on and trusts Busch when he said he meant no disrespect.

Kyle Busch and Sam Bass
NASCAR Says ...
You really have to hand it to Kyle Busch. When Busch smashed his guitar on the NASCAR stage, the crowd went wild. In every sense of the word, it was smashing.

"I have mixed emotions," Bass said. "There's been a lot of erroneous reporting whether I knew it was going to happen or not and how I felt about it, so I wanted to clear that up. I had no idea he was going to destroy the guitar. I can assure you that if he had come to me and asked if I thought it would be a good idea to destroy a one-of-kind piece of artwork, I would've said, 'No, I don't think that is a good idea.'"

Bass would've offered Busch a much less-expensive prop guitar.

"It was an amazing instrument. To see it 30 seconds later beat all to heck hurt," Bass said. "It's like a six- to eight-week process into building one of those guitars. ... It was a working guitar and if you bought one off the shelf it would've been at least $3,500, but [the trophy] one is not coming out of the Gibson custom shop and by the time you include my artwork and what it symbolizes it almost becomes of a priceless nature. I estimate it being worth $25,000 to $35,000. It's was a meaningful piece of art."
And if you listened to the crowd "going wild", what you heard was 'BOOOOOOOOOO'
well whats a guy to do if he cant do a back flip or climb the fence or whatever that sets him apart (it aint no burnout) from everyone else. It was a reference to rock (although he got it wrong who did it) and it was a terrible waste of a nice guitar (the art work wasnt my thing) the idea was fine to bust it up and give a chunck to each crew member. The problem is there is no graceful way to bust up a solid body guitar so Im thinking it will never happen again. Anyway its no big deal and it wasnt detrimental to stock car racing so no foul or fine. Kyle has won so many times I dont even pay attention any more.
Kyle is an absolute idiot. I root for Robby and anyone who punts Kyle, as long as it ends his race. That guy becomes my new hero, for at least a week or two. Even Mikey. The sad note is that Mikey is one of the guys out there that could become a NASACAR hero for shear lack of driving ability this way. There actually must be something seriously off in the Bush gene pool....the other jacka$$ does snow angels on the track. Thank God we haven't seen one of those for a while! That was actually one thing I liked about Jimmy Spencer.....he earned some respect from me when he was mixing it up with Kurt Bush.
Kyle is a great driver and he drives a great car for a great team; that's why he wins races. He is also a jerk, and that is why he smashs trophy guitars. How you linked winning races to being a idiot, I'm not sure......but I'll think about and maybe it will come to me. Maybe you were trying to make another point and I didn't get it.
Let me give a point of view from a former Nashville resident. Nashville is called Music City for a reason. They have a high regard for music, people who play it and the instruments. The guitar was a symbol of what Nashville is all about. They love their racing in Nashville, there are some really good short tracks all over the city. Talking to a few friends who still are there, people felt like Kyle was disrespectful. But no was very surprised considering it was Kyle. The guy who was asked to NOT return to the Bullring at Vegas. When he smashes the grandfather clock will that be OK too?
