Love 'em or hate him, what position would you have taken towards Kyle with regards to his fiasco in the truck race? While, I found it entertaining but very unsportsmanlike, reckless and endangering a fellow driver - I think the penalty is very light when considering Robby got the same penalty for what was pretty much a minor infraction when Nascar raped him of a 1st place finish in Montreal a few years ago.

I believe Joe Gibbs is backing Kyle and would be surprised to see Mars come down with anything further especially after the results turned in by the M&M's car today. It would be very interesting to see what would fall into place and where Kyle would end up next year if he was dismissed by JGR on behalf of Mars/M&M's.

I hate Nazi Nascar Maphia family that continues to tell the racers that have passion and bring emotion to their craft "We don't need you".

So, regardless of right or wrong with Kyles actions and I believer further penalty will be handed down this week by Nascar (probation for 2012) I just want to say - F.U. NASCAR!

I think I pretty much disagree with everything you said, except for the part about NASCAR...
Same here Kyle was punished enough and I'm sure there will be money fines involved on Tuesday . As for NASCAR needing the drivers more than they need NASCAR that may have held true a few yrs ago but not in today's economy . Nascar needs ALL the help they can get to put butts in the seats . Looking at the stands today it looked very empty . Do I think Kyle went overboard ABSOLUTELY ! Should he be punished more ? No other than the fines mentioned he's paid for his crime . Hell if you really look at M&Ms got more publicity it the past few days than the rest of the season combined , is it good publicity no but at the same time it puts M&Ms in the spotlight and as they say there's no such thing as BAD publicity
Kyle should be out for the rest of this season and on probation for all of 2012. He shouldn't get away with what he did. But, while watching it play out on TV I still am wondering why Ron didn't go down low and get on the brakes. He had a few seconds of Kyle behind him and I think he should have known what could happen with Kyle like that.

JGR, Mars, and others have way too much invested in Kyle to kick his sorry ass out. But, if they did he would be in a RCR car the next day the way I see things. Kyle and Richard would be a perfect match even though they have had problems in the past.
Joe Gibbs is in a tough spot. He only has Kyle, Denny and Joey. Joey hasn't done squat and I am sure Home Depot is losing patience with him. I believe Joe needs to back Kyle because there are not many drivers at this point he could put in that car and keep M&M's happy. Had he landed Carl for next year, this might have been a different situation. However, Joe doesn't have any choice but to back Kyle. He has a financial need to have Kyle's talent driving his cars, regardless of Kyle's boneheaded moves.
Well, I know why Kyle did what he did. He saw Brian Vickers Wreck a lot of people at Martinsville, including Matt who was 2nd in the championship. NASCAR did nothing the Vickers. So Kyle figures he can do the same thing, that it's ok to do that. It's NASCAR's fault. They have to be consistant, They should of drew the line and parked Vickers and make him sit out the next race since parking does nothing since he was many laps down, then I am ok with Kyle getting suspended. Kyle paid the price because of the repair bill from damage to his own truck. NASCAR should of forced Kyle to give a Truck without Motor to KHI instead, so basically Kyle would lose 2 trucks for stupidity...
In my opinion JGR IS behind Kyle if not for the fact of this " press release "

“To all,

I've had a lot of time today to sit and reflect, and try to put my thoughts into words as best I can.

I want to sincerely apologize for my actions during Friday night's Truck Series race at Texas.

I apologize to my fans, all my sponsors, everyone at Joe Gibbs Racing and Kyle Busch Motorsports.

After talking with my team, it's great to have their support and encouragement to assure me that there are better days ahead. Even though this took place while driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, I am sorry for how difficult this has been for everyone associated with Joe Gibbs Racing's Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series teams.

I'd also like to apologize to Ron Hornaday Jr., and everyone associated with the No. 33 team in the Truck Series.

I understand why I was taken out of the car for the rest of the weekend. NASCAR officials had to act, and I accept their punishment and take full responsibility for my actions.

As a racecar driver, the hardest thing to do is to sit on the sidelines listening to cars on the track when you know you should be out there competing. For this, I have no one to blame but myself.

Through a lot of support from the people around me, I feel like I've made a lot of strides this year, but this was certainly a step backward. Moving forward, I will do everything I possibly can to represent everyone involved in a positive manner. However, I know my long-term actions will have more of a bearing than anything I say right now.

Sincerely,

Kyle Busch”

It just sounds to convitrived and official to actually be coming from Kyle's heart . If it IS legit i stand corrected but i just cant picture Kyle saying something like this .

I'm glad they did what they did for the weekend.

there's "boys have at it" and then there's wrecking someones championship possibilities because they left their brain in the hauler.

never liked KB, this confirms that I've always thought he was a giant douche.
I agree it was a really stupid and unsportsmanlike thing to do and he deserves what he got, however, the only problem I have with it all is how Edwards did not get the same treatment when he fixed his cup car at Atlanta to go out for one lap and flip Kezelowski. Once again, an intentional wrecking that was very obviously not an aggressive racing/moving someone incident. Also, you can't argue its a history thing cuz Edwards and Brad tangled that whole year just like Kyle has been with all things Harvick. I just think that the punishment would not be there and the media would not be making a big deal out of it if it was a commonly like driver, not Kyle.
WOW.......comments all over the map. This idea that NA$CAR doesen't need KB or any other driver is BS in my opinion. Look at the sport did anyone checkout the stands? Ya I know the TV camars are told to not pan the stands but the sport is in decline compaired to a few years ago. For what ever the reason the ecomomy or the fact that it isn't racing in the true sence. Racing is passsing not track position.

NA$CAR is all over the map on fines or how it sees penalites should be handed down. KB did a dumb thing and turned the 33 truck, so did Carl E. when he fliped Brad K. no race suspension for Carl.......I don't see the difference.

A few things to note here is the back story with the 33 truck and KHI. As you well know KH helped KB start his truck team and then KB hired KH's crew cheif Rick Ren out from under him. So last season both KB & Havawreck were to say the least not the best of friends evidence of that was Havawreck turning KB in a cup race at the end of the season calling KB a "clown". They both have had history with one another I would say that KB has had the upper hand. Ron Hornaday just happened to be in the way friday night and Kyle knew that Ron was up for his 5th championship and was driving Harvick's truck. This feud between KB & KH will go on...trust me.

On to JGR.........KB is of great value to Gibbs, it seems without Kyle Gibbs can't set up the 20 and the 11 cars. The coach is the right guy to take a young charger like Kyle an mentor him. I guess some of you don't remember the guy that drove the 20 car back in the day. The coach has had history with athletes that have lets say dominate personalities and be able to focus that "heart" into results. You can bet Hendrick wishes he had Kyle instead of Mark or Jr. the problem for Rick H. he doesn't have the skill to change a person like the coach can.The coach is a perfict fit for Kyle.

Evidence of the coach's skills will be JGR signing James S. to a 3 year MX contract. You will see the fastest man on 2 wheels win in 2012.

The only thing consistant about NA$CAR is they are inconsistant.. We are all forgetting that it's a "SHOW" not a race. The Brian France will squeeze every $$$ out of the sport under the banner of equality and fairness.....sound familiar?

Guys like Kyle are the only reason I watch the race....ya sometimes he makes a bone head move but I have to credit it to "HIS PASSION". Without drivers like Kyle you might as well be watching a boat race.

Kyle will be in the last 2 races Brian "needs him".
@GTX, I have to disagree on acouple of points. Brian doesn't need Shrub. His baby.'The Chase' has two drivers with in 3 points and 6 not mathematicly eliminated with two events to go.A loose cannon like Shrub could ruin his dream.
'Bubba' fastest man on two wheels?! Hardly, fast is 200mph ,that means Road Racing not dirtbikes.Fastest man on dirt maybe, but the kid is a head case.I seriously doubt the coach is going to spend his every waking moment trying to straighting him up and Shrub.I could hear it in Coach's voice,he getting to old for this shit.
Villopto fan here, the kid has heart. And 2 Championship this year to show for it.
@ MIKE my point about Stewart being the fastest man on 2 wheels was directed to the MX series and the talent Joe Gibbs as with being a mentor. In James contract there is a very limited amount of interference or interaction by Jame's parrents. Most in the sport know that JS needs discipline and a proper program, he will get that with JGR. To say that the coach is getting to old for this shit....to say that, you must eat dinner with him.....do you ? I am not a JS fan like Kyle B. I see talent that needs guided. My intrest in these talented athletes is to marvel in what they do, how they are able to do the things that no other person can do.

I don't get caught up in all of the hate I just appreciate their talent. You say James is a "head case" but you don't explain youself. I think Villopoto is a great rider but with some giudence Janes can out ride him.

I will challenge you that James will win MX championship in 2012.

PS...................Kyle will win one of the last 2 races this is the only way Kyle can answer back and he has the talent to do it.

Just sayn from an old coach's view.
James Stewart is a dart without feathers half the time.
