COURSE OVERVIEW

It was a painful experience for many competitors when they discovered the area last year. At the beginning of the special stage, the dunes follow one another, each one like the next, strung out in a never-ending desert capable of unsettling the best technical specialists. In the opposite direction, Stéphane Peterhansel and “Nani” Roma, both of whom are masters when it comes to crossing dunes, each lost almost fifteen minutes there, and risked missing out on the first two places of the overall standings. And the level of difficulty will be even more demanding this year! During the crucial stage of the first week, the rally will be even tougher for motorcyclists: they will quail on a 2-km slope, of which the gradient will put the descent of Iquique on a par with a gentle children’s slide.

HAHA...long live the LLAMA

Had to disable chat for a while. It was freezing up the website

Stops all the sniveling.

Any word on the condition of the vehicle? Are they able to fix it and get it going again?

That explains it. I was a little worried I got busted using my work computer and got internet shut down again.

No new info yet. Please post things within this forum. I am not putting the chat feature up anymore today.

No joy in Mudville today. How unfortunate. :-(

Here is what I just found on the french TV site.

This is not the day of Robby Gordon! Barrel from the front car on the roof, broken radiator. The American is not the end of his sentences to complete the fourth stage of the Dakar 2013 arriving at Arequipa.

A reputation that speaks. The antics of Robby Gordon crosses borders for several years. Launched in a chase to regain lost time in the prologue of Pisco, the American would rise quickly in the standings. Second advantage of the special behind Nasser Al-Attiyah, Gordon was launched as a bullet in his ride. Much too fast to take this frenzied pace. At kilometer 29, the orange Hummer crashed on the front and left barrel. Unfortunately, the sun was not complete and buggy found himself trapped on the roof.
Valter to the rescue
Gordon had to wait for his assistance truck or a generous St. Bernard. It was then that the truck N.524 Czech Jaroslav Valter happened. A stroke and Hummer strap regained his freedom at a trot. Do not push it anyway. Unfortunately, the shock, the radiator has passed away. And not running an engine without cooling. Sentenced to a further judgment, Gordon is not sure when or Arequipa to rally late in the night ...

It's news...
Hope he can keep the product exposure going.
Plenty of air time if he can grab a few stages.
