STAGE 3 TRACKING

STAGE 3: SAN RAFAEL > SAN JUAN

Connection 295km | Special Stage 301km | Total 596km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors of the 2014 Dakar will experience their first taste of the mountains by passing through the Pre-Andes. The Aconcagua Volcano stands 6,962m high and will observe the progress of the vehicles, of which a part will rehearse their high mountain driving techniques. The motorcyclists will climb up 4,300 metres during their special stage, on a ridgeline where they will have the impression of towering over the whole of America! The descent will bring them back to the tough reality of the drivers of the Dakar, as they will only have finished the first part of this marathon stage. They will have to ensure the mechanics for their own vehicles at the isolated bivouac which has been set up for them.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

today will be a good day

Robby out 30th for Today, I will be waiting

Going to throw this out and see. So RG has the AC, could he take a cooling line off that system and run it next to the fuel line to cool things?

Also is the chat now only for Apple platform users?

I have an Imac and still no chat :-( TOG??

Whad u say Scooter?

So today's stage has been shortened to 222km..cool.

Let hope we get some sort of tracking...

Fingers Crossed.
But as yesterday none of the cp's are highlighted in red so I am not counting on it.

WP5/CP1 is in the red for the bikes.

For the bikes!

I think the Dakar is having allot of funding issues and therefore they may not provide as many perks ( such as tracking ) as in past years.

Where did you here that? ASO charges the paticipants an arm and leg and the host nations I am sure grease the ASO wheels to make sure that their country is considered.
