STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: VILLA CARLOS PAZ > SAN JUAN

Connection 107km | Special Stage 518km | Total 625km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Any rest will be short-lived, because before reaching San Juan, the competitors will have a particularly busy schedule: quite simply the longest special stage in the rally, which is varied enough to unsettle even the most experienced of drivers. Hard terrain at the start of the race will be followed by dusty sections in the middle of the day and a sandy stretch to finish. This is the first real test, which can only be successfully overcome through constant vigilance.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Brake issue, early, fixed now.

Brakes were overheating in beginning but seems like they figured it out since. Steady times since around wp3 or 4.

With luck a caliper was stuck, possibly by debris or other gremlin. That would result in that brake overheating, boiling fluid. Running easy let it cool, and caliper may now have come unstuck. Fingers crossed!!

Some kind of 45 minute problem with the brakes early on. He's not the only one having problems though ; Other big names having major issues as well. Peterhansell, in particular.

Air AL-At... 1:56:53 back at CP1 and appears to have missed a couple WP on the way...
Time to blame bad vehicle & quit...

Back to Quitar FTW!!!

Considering the traffic he is probably dealing with after the issue, he isn't losing too much time to the winner at each check point.

If he's passed Peterhansel it looks like a clear road ahead till the end as the next car is 22 mins down. Hope Robby doesn't overcook it going over a dune!

I keep an eye on the overall tab, we can still get into the top 30 today!!

"In light of the difficulty of the route and the end of the special, the stage will be shortened for a portion of the bikers placed in the second part of the standings, already very tired by this long stage."

you guys can get chat ?
ive been out for a couple of hours and now can't get it no more =(

Nope no chat
