Join in and discuss all the action from Stage 1 of the 2015 Dakar Rally. Robby Gordon will drive the #308 Speed Energy/Traxxas/Toyo Tires Gordini. The special section of Stage 1 is 170km long. COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will be rapidly plunged into the heart of the Argentinean countryside. The combination of the route’s different features means that there will be something for everyone, while sticking to relatively simple criteria, for the time being. Fast tracks coupled with sharp bends will divide up the vehicles, according to the levels of the drivers, who will be tested in an exciting environment which marks this first special stage, but without singling out any particular category. At the end of this warm-up, the day will fi nish with a long liaison section to the first bivouac.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

We didn't take any risks"

The stage was a bit too fast, but we got off to a good start. We needed to know where everyone stands. We might be able to be more aggressive tomorrow. There were a few tricky spots where we didn't take any risks. The car worked perfectly and, if we win, it'll also be great to open the track tomorrow. We saw Nani stopped on the side of the road, but they were still inside their car. It might have been an electric problem. A stroke of bad luck, that's the way it is. I hope he can patch up the car and continue the rally. It's a big surprise, but it can happen."

go Robby Go!!!! very good start to this years Dakar, compared to last year when he was 133rd after the first day.
Where yo got the info on Nani Roma Mini? I only got he is stuck a few kilometers after the start....

Very excited to see Robby and Johnny teamed up again for this years Dakar. I will tell you Johnnys Nav is better than it ever has been. Hopefully the duo has what it takes!!!
