I mean look at it................You know you want it and yes I know all about what's going on this spring/summer. But it's a Truck and it's Dirt feel it?? yea ya do........

IMO it's too gimmicky. Will go over like the all star race. Seems to me it signals that the series is weakening. Now I'll take all the RC's they want to throw at it, IMO the road course race will smoke Smoke's race.
ARCA has raced on dirt for years - they just aren't televised like the ones that are on NASCAR companion weekends. What is now the Sprint Cup Series had a mixture of asphalt and dirt races all the way up to 1970.
Don't get me wrong - I love road courses, but I don't see this any more gimmicky than them. The road courses draw guys like Villeneuve, Tagliani, Fellows and stalwarts of that genre. This dirt race likewise will feature guys like Bloomquist and Schrader.
I gotta say it's a welcome addition and if you look at the crowds that show up for the other races at Eldora, I see it being pretty successful for a long time. Glad to have a dirt race back in the big leagues.

no Justin this isn't directed at/to you.I tag'd on to your post,to post the footage.
Bloomquist? why? he'd need a Nascar license,I'm betting not so much.
Schrader? Is there a doubt
Trucks on the road course was fun when it was the series that gap'd local Late Models to Busch.(Late Model touring series where/are faster than Trucks where)
Gimmicky yes, to bad the expenses to run these events won't be covered in the purse.
how many Dirt Late Model drivers enter'd are you willing to bet a beer for?
claim a number
and Schrader,Kahne,Bowyer (Cup full licensed drivers don't count)
So, 11 not including Cup full licensed drivers?
