wow. what a chain reaction of events. First time an Earnhardt has not been in a cup race since, maybe the 70's ? And Dinger gets the #51 more than likely for the remainder of the year.

What an opportunity for Regan Smith to show his stuff in top notch equipment. That said, that's not a knock on Furniture Row but we all know JR gets the best of the best.

i can remember back in the day when you could not keep a driver out of a car no matter how bad they were hurt.(Davy Alison comes to mind).

Betting Junior would do the same, if times were different. Like him, or not, the guy loves racing.

Concussions are different than pretty much any other type of injury...

Yessir, & who here is suprised to hear I've had a few? Hope he doesn't plan on tipping a few brews while watching the races. Beer & conclusions make lunch get wings...

Quite a few of us probably have him on our fantasy teams for this weekend. I wonder how that will work out?

I have him in my lineup as well. I doubt we will be able to change it. You will have to pick from your other 3 drivers.

Half the guys in the league have him on their rosters for this weekend. Probably more than 50% of all Yahoo players have him listed. I wonder if Yahoo will just award points for the 88 car with Smith driving?

Oh no stop the presses alert the media . What will the almighty NASCRAP do without its star .

like or dislike JR, I feel for ANY driver who gets injured during a race, regardless of their popularity.

You know MJ, you could just ignore the obviously NASCAR themed threads here. Just saying...
