I can only speak for what I like and I do like them. On any track someone can get a case of the ass when they are restarting, and single file restarts are not immune to this phenomena.
yes thats how i feel....they add lots of excitement to the races
NASCAR's ratings and attendence have been going downhill and the double file restarts add a bit of excitement to normally dull races. If they can add some excitement into places like Pocono and other snoozer tracks I'm all for it. So far I'm a big fan, its a shame they didn't do this sooner.
I like the double file re-starts too. It was a homerun decision by Nascar. Now if they could just find time to allow the go-or go homers a chance to qualify in case of rain.
yeah that would be awsome
good all around, now just fix the rained out qualifing rules and NASCAR will be onto someting
They have been great all around so far. Excitement has definitely increased because of this. Daytona was awesome to see them 2 by 2 throughout the first lap getting up to speed. With the go-or-go-homers, NASCAR should qualify them after final practice ahead of the top-35 drivers, and if practice gets rained out then they can qualify the next morning.
Great idea - Qualify them first. We are only talking about usually no more then 10 cars. They can find the time if necessary to qualify 10 cars. If required, start the top 35 by owner points.
yeah nascar really needs to think of something they cant keep having go or go homers spend lots of money they barley have to come to the track each week just to spend more money just to practice then go home it's stupid pretty soon there wont be any go or go homers left
Yes but if they cant qualify they cant make that
i like the double file restarts it adds some excitement to some of the boring tracks.still trying to figure out the go around for lap down cars and then not being able to pit until the green comes out.still scratching my head on that one.
Well if you let the wave around cars pit, it would be like giving all of them the lucky dog. With that being said, since there is the wave around rule, I don't think there should be a lucky dog anymore. That rule was put in place for safety and nothing else (to keep cars from racing back to the yellow). It gave a driver a FREE pass...it wasn't a fairness rule, it was a safety rule. Now, since ALL the lap down cars can be waived around, they should have to earn that lap back. i.e. drive around and not pit OR pit and stay a lap down and race past the leader. No need to just be handed a lap back anymore.
