Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't RG simply have to start this race to win the class championship?

That said, we all know RG will drive the Toyos off that truggy...!

and FINISH
this event is double points for position and 60 finishing points
so no, just starting won't get it done

Thanks Mike . Don't know why people keep thinking that . Oh well it's gonna be a good race and I can't wait hopefully we'll have a chat going and everyone can join in .

I just typed an essay on the BiTD points, then touched the wrong button and deleted it all.:-(
It's a best 5 of 6 series.

Yes ,chat will be open on Saturday the 1st

Sounds great MK does RDC or Dirt Newz do anything for coverage like baja I haven't seen anything yet but could be they haven't updated the sites after the 1000 yet ?

http://www.race-dezert.com/home/ has in the past.the paint isn't even dry on the BAJA 1K

Yeah that's what I meant bud its still all from the 1000 . I'm on the site now scanning the BITD rule book for the points deal . Ill post if I find it . ( its over 100 pages lol )

than on current points standings ,just below it

another point of interest. For Q -Freitas drew #1, Robby 29th.So, the course will be in poor'r condition for Robby to Q on.

Naw Robby's had a bad draw before just means he'll drive even harder lol . I found the points thanks . I'm still looking for the rule covering them . To explain what we mean when you have to start AND finish the race to get points . Man Fritas gets all the good breaks drawing the 1 pill seems like he's done that 2-3 times this yr , the guy should play poker lol .

read the bottom of the points schedule

22. Special Note: Because of the layout of the new racecourse there are lots of sharp corners. Some of the corners will have
ORANGE CONES on both inside and outside of corner. If your race vehicle hits a cone you will receive a time penalty.
Because of the environmentally sensitive area we are racing in, the ORANGE CONES, is the only way I could prove to the BLM
that our racers care about the future of our sport and will stay on the racecourse. BITD Officials will be monitoring the ORANGE
CONES on each corner. Slow Down on the corners and do not hit a cone! It will be the same rule for everyone!

Sounds like a reasonable rule . As much as I feel BLM sometimes goes overboard with their rules this seems like a good way to show them the offroad community is willing to work with them . Considering all the SCORE races are in Mexico next yr we need to do all we can to keep desert racing alive here in the states .
