Join in & discuss all the action for the 2012 B.I.T.D. Silver State 300. Robby Gordon is driving the #1537 RPM Truggy. Gordon was the fastest qualifier. Racing begins on Saturday, May 5th at 12:30pm/et ( 9:30am local ).

Is there anything mechanically different between a Truggy and Trophy Truck? Or is it all sheet metal / body stuff?

Trucks have more horsepower, more weight and more suspension. Cars are more lightweight, nimble, reliable, but not as fast as the Trophy Trucks . I think of a Trophy Truck as tank where you crash over bumps and jumps and a Buggy as a hovercraft where you float over them lol Other than that not much difference

I'll eat an extra taco or burro or burrito or have an extra Tecate this Saturday knowing this race is going on..................going on without me. Good Luck and bring all the dust back with you its good luck. Cinco de Mayo is primarily a celebration for the region around Pueblo to commemorate a battle against a french force, not some sort of Mexican independence day...................but I'm sure there will be one hell of a party after this race to celebrate one, the other perhaps both. Here in the U.S. Cinco de Mayo is nothing more than a classic example of American commerce...................My name says it all and I was "chatting" with this girl and she invited me to her Cinco de Mayo party so I say "I did not know you were Mexican" and she says "I'm not".....I must have lost control of my facial muscles because she looked at me like my eyes were turning colors. Again I let my thoughts show on my face...it's a weakness. Like the time last year I was at Buffalo raceway to wager and watch the Kentucky Derby and the girl I was with started some shit about how I said she looked like a horse..................What I said was "that horse looks like you". There is a difference ladies. You would think that there would be an off road channel............I'm sure research shows that folks would rather sit around and watch some guy try and sell his PeZ collection to a guy who laughs at his own words than this sort of thing. Any way Good luck to the guys..........watch for motorcycles...........drink Mexican beer.........fill the bird feeders............hold a door for a lady.................and above all else ..............give a total stranger the finger. Have a good day and by the way the MAP sensor was not the problem it's still waiting for me outside.

Yes both unlimited, big motor, big suspension, big weight, big noise, big $ and big fun....I remember a Parker race (waaay back when) where Robby and Jimmy Smith ran the TT race, then in the main race (all other classes) took off the panels and ran unlimited class 1...
