Again... and a shameless one at that. I openly wonder if the SST convoy will be coming ....sorry....going through Buffalo N.Y. Do these trucks travel by train or plane or over the hell paved terrain? We have a great water front, a killer Naval park, some old Silos, a giant bridge with turn of the century pottery and bottles as back fill buried along the concrete supports so bring a privy rod a shovel and bail money (unless you find a real good bottle right away then you can either use it as bail money or get the hell out of there before you get caught.) I don't know why but digging for treasure under a bridge is frowned upon....you can always toss one of those magnets on a rope out into the inner harbor or river to try and find an old discarded firearm from days gone past, perhaps just a few days perhaps thousands of days....but they are out there ....I'd say gun but it sounds so violent. In short seen or unseen treasures abound! However let me get back to the SST and Traxxas run hopefully ....I don't know, pulling up a stool for some wings and a house brewed cold one at say the Perry Street Grill for which I have no stake in and frequent but twice a year, mostly after Sabres Ga....( NHL Hockey Games) for which proper attire is recomended unless you want to hear "WE ARE OUT OF WINGS" to keep the Riff Raff out of the door and down the street...At this point you may ask yourself: Are you Riff Raff Mike? No, not to the folks who get free pizza just by sitting there on a bench as I walk by with a whole pie they not trying to stay dry with barely the confidence to say hi wishing they were high. But to the guy I met for tickets off craigslist who waved me away from his Beamer twice because I forgot to describe my choice of clothing for the game (hence no wingy for mikey) just that I "Would be There".....yea at times I guess I am ! Now back to the business at hand, the Toronto IRL date for the Trucks and their relativity to this corner of the world..... Wing Capitol of the World, Buffalo N.Y. Simple, why would they stop in Buffalo on the way to or from the great big gig up in the big T? I don't know. Why would they not stop in Buffalo? Time I would hope..... just a matter of time, that's the only reason ...lack of time. I have no idea where the trucks are now or when and if they are even sniffing this end of the bed as they travel by however the map they gave me at the rest stop shows they should be around here somewhere sometime somehow soon. This town is booming with all sorts of things to do that invlove stopping in for wings and a beer and laying rubber at the foot of Perry Street near the giant state of the art slightly misplaced life size reproduction lock of the historic Erie Canal for whose name sake the excellent park "canal side" is justified. By now you realize this twisted self indulging satire of some sort of backward diatribe should be on official city letter head......but i'm out. Look, I hope the event goes well...I hope it goes great but a marketing tool is a marketing tool, and if need be we might even be able to get Anita West to Emcee a flash in the pan drive by. She's pretty good and quite the accomplished heart warming sort every city wishes they had in their media circle......life of the party. And yea it would be cool and wise........ one of the trucks would look killer down by the water and the boats and ships and the real people and the giant "BOX" they are building and all the other down to earth real America this place is. You can even rent a bicycle to ride on the river around here...not me though it seems you can't take them down the "Niagara River" just up the "Buffalo River"....the Riff Raff thing again huh? Big Brewers festival too but that's on the 19th that should be good......I can't make the Toronto show.....yea you guessed it, the Riff Raff thing.
