Put that HUMMER body on a Gibbs Chassis and go Racin'

If and I stress "IF" they are to 'collaborate', it will be a good thing for both parties.

The fact that Dakar talk is happening 10 months out from the 2015 version, is great.

Couldn't agree more TOG.

After reading further about Team El Martillo Racing, it appears that they are fairly substantial in terms of equipment and resources. Sure much of it is probably run "out of pocket", but there's alot of pieces to it all.

Facebook picture show RG fishing with Matt... and fun had by all

One thing is for sure this will truly be an international team with Canada Mexico and USA all represented . It could mean a lot more international SPEED sales as well . I for 1 am really looking forward to seeing what develops throughout the yr til next Jan. Nikal said it exactly right . This could be just the right ammo we need to go MINI hunting . Last yr we brought a BB gun this yr it looks like we've stepped up to an Uzi lol .

This article proves my point about Matt being humble with all he has & done. He truly respects Dakar & the drivers. He knows his place and is good with that. And like the article says he would like to improve, but is realistic about where he wants to be. For this who did not read the article, here is an important part.

"The top level drivers have more skill in their pinky than I have in my whole body but you can buy your way in a bit at the highest level. The top 20 finishers in the Dakar are all professional teams spending tens of millions of dollars in some cases but we think that the top thirty is achievable for us."

Have you heard a "buy a ride" teammate of Robby's be as humble or realistic as Matt is? Having someone like Matt around would be a good thing.

So everyone needs to go back and re-read that article. Like I said in my earlier rant. Matt stopped & helped Robby when he broke the wheel studs. He did so out of respect for Robby and his previous advise. Plus like I said Matt would like nothing more then to see Robby Gordon win Dakar.

go ask Matt how Robby helped him. Martillo DNF's the 2014 Rally without crucial and timely info provided by RG

Campbell went with the Dodge body simply to pay homage to Fiat/Dodge since they are the parent company for his business. They didn't sponsor any of the effort but he thought it made sense. I think it looked pretty cool too.

I'm like a kid at Christmas ( again lol ) . Really have a good feeling something good is gonna happen .
