Nobody likes change but we're in for alot of it. Between BITD, Baja, Dakar the new stadium series and select NASCAR events Robby's going to have a pretty full schedual I imagine more than enough to keep us all entertained and busy here at the planet......if any planeteers can afford overseas vacations might I suggest New years and the following 2 weeks in south America instead?? :-))

BITD is garbage. Nobody pays attention to it. To paraphrase a famous inquiry: If a driver wins a series that nobody watches or cares about, does it really happen?

Just wondering, have you ever been to a BITD race or checked their website ? Or any off-road race for that matter.

Live attendance is great, but that provides little-to-no exposure for Robby.

You refer to BITD as "garbage" what exactly do you base this on? The point that they don't have a network television deal? or is there more?

No, that's pretty much it. That and it doesn't hold a candle to SCORE--where the real money is. Reno-to-Vegas is cool, but beyond that BITD isn't a top-tier sanctioning body/league.

Let's put it another way: To be the best in BITD is not a relevant position to anyone outside of those who happen to physically attend BITD races or read off-road mags. That's just the plain and simple fact.

There was a time, not even two years ago, when Robby was relevant in NASCAR, SCORE, BITD, and Dakar, and now that list has dwindled drastically.

So,stage wins and in position to win DAKAR 2012,BiTD (which you claim is meaning less) Class points leader and Overall race winner. Not relevant?

Tim not letting him get to me I just want to teach him about the history of offroad racing I see from his bio he's only in his late 20s so he actually missed a lot of good years of the sport . He missed the Ivan Stewart years as well as Rod Hall , Walker Evans , and even the big factory support years with Toyota Chevy Ford Dodge and Nissan . If I can help even 1 person enjoy the sport more well than I've done my part .
