January 3rd-8th, the Rally Raid starts in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and races South than East before racing to North to the city of Ha'il.

January 9th, Rest Day Ha'il

January 10th-15th, the Rally Raid continues from Ha'il through the North Eastern area of Saudi Arabia before heading to West, than South along the Red Sea, finishing in Jeddah.

Excellent stage for the Americans
13:36 Brabec grabs the stage!
The winner of the prologue, Ricky Brabec, had not finished on the podium since his second place in stage 2, but the defending champion struck back today by beating Ignacio Cornejo by 2'07' and Skyler Howes by 2'19'. Sam Sunderland came in fourth place, just under three minutes down.

14:24 Al-Rajhi claims first home win
It's in the bag for Yazeed Al-Rajhi! The Saudi ended a long drought that started in 2015 and claimed the stage win after moving into the lead with about 100 kilometres to go. The Toyota driver wrapped up the seventh special with 48' to spare over Stéphane Peterhansel, 1'15' over Carlos Sainz in third place and 2'48' over Nasser Al-Attiyah.

18:04 López declared the winner!
'Chaleco' López has been deducted the 45 minutes he spent helping a biker who had crashed, which makes him the fastest driver in today's stage and the winner of the special originally attributed to Saleh Alsaif.
