STAGE 7 TRACKING

STAGE 7: SALTA > SALTA

Connection 230km | Special Stage 533km | Total 763km

COURSE OVERVIEW

This mega loop with a 500-km long special stage on the agenda will test the teams’ ability to adapt to changes of pace. After stony terrains at the beginning of the day, some top speeds will be recorded in the second part of the stage, and then the drivers’ road techniques will be tested, and all of this at an average altitude of almost 3,500m. To end this highly emotional day, they will have to cross a vast salt flat extending over twenty or so kilometres: a straight stretch which will make the competitors’ heads spin.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I feel your pain......Leaving 3AM to Parker (2hours)... Pre Run the course (5 hrs)....Bench Race (4hrs+). Drive back (2 Hrs)...Back to work........Ill have the mobile hot spot and lap top, will check in when we can.....Hope the new, Phase II, Second edition, Gordini-Revised-Beta 2 Model Will hit it hard in the second half

I'm thinking this might be my favorite stage of this year's rally, mainly because all the vehicles will be able to test their top speeds across Salinas Grandes, the salt lake they'll be crossing. Assuming RG get his cooling issues fixed, this should be the easiest stage yet for him to win, seeing as I assume he has one of the most powerful engines in the field.

I actually visited Salinas Grandes myself and two friend back in summer of 2012; fantastic experience. Pictures of what they'll be racing across at the links

Cool shots. Thanks Thomas.

Salt looks like table quality.

cool pix .
unfortunately power is not everything ....
but for sure open space stage like his one will B a + for the mean orange machine .
flat out day for you Mr. RG =)

Thanks for the pic's Thomas...very cool. This stage looks to favor the Gordini Team. If able to keep it cool and lay down the HP. RG is used to high speeds far more than the competitors. GIVE 'em HELL TEAM!

You have done the work now enjoy the fun.

Toyo's slinging some mud on the mini's today

High speed racing at 4000m. There are going to be few unhappy engines.

Wake up and lets go!
