STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: ROSARIO > SAN LUIS

Connection 629km | Special Stage 180km | Total 809km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The competitors will wake up early to set off along the road in the region of Cordoba and start the race on some narrow tracks which will require the utmost vigilance. Each one will still be very fresh allowing them to tackle the stony sections or the blind jumps serenely. The competitors’ driving skills will be rewarded at the finish, where they will have already clocked up 800 kilometres. Although the gaps will not be significant at this stage of the race, it is nevertheless important to maintain their position in the part of the standings that they are aiming for!

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

Welcome to another year of Dakar Rally action at Planet Robby. Robby Gordon debuts the new HST for 2014 & we basically live for nothing but providing the best possible Dakar experience for Robby Gordon and Dakar fans alike. Those who have been here before, know what we do. Those who haven't, I hope you stick around for the entire rally. We have a few new things we will introduce during the rally, and as always, will have the daily stage scoring pylon and THE REBEL vs THE WORLD daily results. Thanks for all the support and to those who want to help us keep this going past Dakar. Let's Race!

What time does the race start in Pacific Standard Time?

Someone did this for me. Rally time is Paris -4hrs (I think), or 2 hrs. ahead of Eastern, 6 ahead of Pacific. Then it moves later by 1 hr. on the western half of the continent. Google world time zones.

No thank you :)

TOG,
Thanks for all the early pics and info. Stoked about this years DAKAR, been waiting since last years unfortunate early accident. With regards to the new ride, why is Robby running a Hummer body again? Did his previous deal with GM go through this year, or Robby's choice? And when he starts making the Gordini will they be the same or Robby's own design? Keep up the great work! GO REBEL USA!

James, thank you!

It's not a HUMMER body. It's an HST. The front has a HUMMER 'inspired' look to it,

Everything about the car is 100% Robby's choice.

TOG, you know my history with the Gordon family, and I've enjoyed this site sense the Jim Beam car. I hoping RG Motorsports will bring home the Grand Prize this year. However, I know they will give all 110%

I stand corrected. I meant to say the grill. Thanks for the answer. The car looks bitchin. Tell Robby after he's done whoopin up on them frenchies to come have some fun in Parker, and win AGAIN!

How can this be an FIA car? Doesn't it have to be a factory homologated car? Can you explain FIA?
Thanks

@Marc, it has to do with how the chassis is build and the use of a production engine.

Why was the the Hummer not considered a FIA entry than? Wasn't that a production engine, chassis?

I believe it has to do with whether the chassis build complies with FIA regs, or not.

The Hummer did not, as it was based on a Class 1 buggy.
