Join in and discuss all the action from Stage 14 of the 2013 Dakar Rally. Robby Gordon was the winner of stage 13, and looks to close out the rally with another stage win.Stage 14 marks the end of the 2013 edition of the rally. The cars are slated to begin the special section of stage 14 at 8:06am/et and Robby Gordon will begin his special section at 8:06am/et. Raceday chat will be available throughout the entire 2013 Dakar Rally.

COURSE OVERVIEW

To reach the Chilean capital, the heroes of the 2013 Dakar will still have to remain focused on the amazing fast tracks, where the pleasure of driving will go hand in hand with their sense of accomplishment. After the journey on the road, the drivers will be expected on a show course a few kilometres long, where they will be able to delight spectators by performing skids and jumps. This will be a foretaste of the highly emotional ceremony which will be organised the next day facing the Palacio de La Moneda, on the Plaza de la Constitución.

That is the amazing thing about Robby, he never gives up, even when the chips are down. Good luck tomorrow, we are all hoping for another stage win. Team Gordon and the American bike riders have made us proud.

Last stage, one more chance at a win. Robby leading off for the (early) start, sounds like Chicherit wants to have a race tomorrow. I think I'm starting to like that guy. Hats off to RG, Kellon, and Team Speed for never giving up and making this one hell of a rally!

Yep, the SMG's are like the Little Engine that Could. Chicherit has had his share of issues too, but keeps on plugging.

from my french point of view he is actually the most americanised french after vig of course !
he was making fun of rg 4-5 days ago saying rg is a nobody .....now he knows who is in front of him even if drove flat out all day long .
i personally think that he needs to find a bullet proof car , he's a bit heavy with the right pedal .

Start Delayed

The cloud cover is very low (roughly 200 m) over the start of today's special, which means helicopters can't take off at the moment. Therefore, the start of the motorcycle race has been delayed by an hour for safety reasons. It's also raining on the course of today's stage.

I would imagine this will push back the start of the cars and it looks like RG will start at 9:48 EST.
