Just saw on JAYSKI that Reed is uot of his ride at turner motorsports, even though he is third in the standings. It appears to be related to his sponsor - Dollar General - leaving for JGR.

It's a shame that Reed didn't have the relationship with Dollar General that some of these other yahoos have with their sponsors.

A great line of bullshit from team owner Steve Turner:

"We are continuing to evaluate our racing program as we look to the 2012 season," said team owner Steve Turner. "Brian Vickers is a proven winner at NASCAR's highest level in addition to being a driver at Turner Motorsports over the last four seasons. He has worked with Trent Owens in the past which will allow us to immediately focus on the task at hand. We are confident Brian can help assess where we are, as a company currently, and the direction we are going as we build our programs for 2012 and beyond."

Really. Your driver is third in the championship, only 49 points out with 5 races remaining, and you dump him for driver who has never sat his ass in your car to evaluate your racing program. WTF? It seems to me your program must be pretty decent if you're contending for the driver's championship after 29 races. Also, when did Brian Vickers become a Rhodes Scholar and Wharton Business School graduate? This must have been missed by Red Bull or perhaps Brian needs to polish up his Powerpoint presentation skills. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vickers in a JGR Nationwide ride next year with.....Dollar General sponsorship and Turner listed as car owner.

And Reed is gets screwed out of his ride, a possible championship, and thousands of dollars in points fund payout. Raw Deal.
The dots are starting to connect... The former Red Bull Racing Team will have Mark Martin driving with Red Bull sponsoring the car. That leaves Brian Vickers out of a ride...until he worked a deal with JGR & Dollar General. That leaves Reed out of a ride. I'm sure Reed will land somewhere.
Mark Martin with Red Bull sponsorship. Yeah, and Morgan Shepherd will be sponsored by Abercrombie & Fitch and DC Shoes next year.

Maybe they'll try to reach the senior generation...LOL!

X Games legend and Red Bull athlete Travis Pastrana expressed confidence Sunday that the energy drink company will sponsor a car in the Sprint Cup Series next season (Dover Media Center transcript)

The leading candidate to take over the wheel for Kasey Kahne's departure is veteran Mark Martin (buzztap)
Martin + viagra + red bull = one happy senior
Vickers...psssh.
MONEY
It's a sad day when the loyalty is gone from both sponsor and owner. Greed and arrogance rule Nascar today. Maybe that's why there are more and more empty seats every week. When a "Chase Race" at Dover has more seats empty than full, you know there is a problem - and it's not just the "economy". Are you reading this Brian?
I've never considered Reed a top driver, but in this case, I feel for him, 49 points out...WTF
I wonder if Reed can get sponsership on his own, would he bring it to RGM and would RG provide cars?
I think most teams would provide cars for any driver if adequate sponsorship came with said driver.
Boris?
