Ted Musgrave will take the wheel on Friday & Saturday,  while Robby Gordon drives at Baja. Gene Nead worked with Ted Musgrave when they won the 2005 Truck championship, and once it was learned that the entry list was going to be 45 drivers, they made a change. Ted has had a fantastic career at Pocono, with a 2nd place finish during his career there.Robby Gordon will return to the seat of the car in time for Sunday's race.

WOW! Ted knows Pocono and he and Gene had worked together as well. I am a little happier about the weekend.
For the whole weekend?
Thats AWESOME, I love Ted Musgrave, ever since he drove the Family Channel car.
Teddy!!! I still have an old Ted Musgrave t-shirt I'll dig out for the weekend! I might have one of the only 2 he sold. No COT experience but he can still run the wheels off most everyone else. He's still been running short tracks during his absence from nascar. Guess he can't use his past truck championship as a provisional though.
Gene is very excited to work with Ted this weekend.
I think I might have the other one. Oh, actually I had to make mine myself!
Hopefully between Ted and Gene they can get the #7 dialed in for this weekend.
Ted Musgrave (crickets chirpping)....just kidding, Why Not! I was thinking it was going to be somewhat a shocker whoever you announced...actually even thought Mr. Excitment Jimmy Spencer who always did good at Pocono could have been a possibility. It will definitely catch some headlines. Good deal! Go Musgrave!

Ted's stats look good at Pocono...a little concerned he hasn't raced at Pocono in 9 years in a Cup car, never in a COT. But I'm sure Robby & Gene know what they're doing! Love to see Ted turn some heads with RGM this weekend. Cool deal.
there are 3 series running in 3 different states. People must remember, its only for 2 days of practice. Alot of drivers dont want to just practice & qualify ,then not race the thing ( Scott Riggs will not fill in unless he runs the entire weekend ) its hard for a driver to 'step out' of a racecar. This is still Robby's team, and come Sunday, he will be driving the car ( as long as Ted locks it in - Gene is confident Ted will adapt quickly. He is a veteran )
Scott will not fill in unless he drives the whole weekend....... He should just be happy someone EVEN bothers to ask him to practice the car.
The truck is more similar to the COT than the older car so I wouldn't be too concerned.
