Go Ricky! The arrows are kinda fun to watch. I still don't like the time difference. I don't stay up that late, too old for that! LOL It has been a good rally to watch so far. Hopefully Robby will miss it enough to participate next time.

I completely understand the time zone vs sleep thing. No relatively live/ timely fan video uploads. As for RG going again, after reading the newest rules, I wouldn't go unless the ASO paid 100% of the bill. JMO

Yup, it is a big time and cost, etc commitment.

Motorbikes have started
07:50 Cornejo is at the start
Nacho Cornejo is the first to take starter’s orders on the ninth special. Will the Chilean, who leads the general standings by just over a minute in front of Toby Price, be able to hold on to this status and once again battle for victory?

08:31 Price has already taken a few seconds from Cornejo
Toby Price already leads at the first way point, with an advantage of 48’' over Nacho Cornejo and another Honda ridden by Ricky Brabec. Their team-mate Joan Barreda, fifteen minutes back in the general standings, is second for the moment, 31’' behind the Australian.

10:11 Price falls

Toby Price has crashed after 155 km and has injured his left arm and shoulder. It’s a major blow for the Australian who was only one minute behind Nacho Cornejo in the general standings. Indeed, the Spaniard has moved back into the lead on the stage, after 157 km.

10:37 Price airlifted to Tabuk

Toby Price has been taken to hospital in Tabuk for X-rays and has therefore been forced to exit the race prematurely due to his accident.

14:47 Kevin Benavides wins (provisionally…)

Although Ricky Brabec and Sam Sunderland should both recover fifteen minutes at the end of the day, they have both finished more than 20’ behind the day’s quickest rider. The stage victory should therefore go to Kevin Benavides for the second time this year.

14:45 Serradori leads!

Mathieu Serradori has grabbed the lead after 354 km of racing and even has an advantage of more than two minutes over Stéphane Peterhansel. Giniel De Villiers trails Serradori by 11’ whilst Nasser Al-Attiyah is 12’21’’ behind the leader and, more importantly, less than ten minutes behind Peterhansel, with just over 100 km left

15:42 Serradori breaks down!

In the middle of a battle for stage victory with Stéphane Peterhansel, Mathieu Serradori has broken down after 385 km of the special! France will still be celebrating the stage victory, but the Gallic Century crew seem to be dogged by bad luck...

15:27 Peterhansel has reached the finish…

Stéphane Peterhansel is the first driver to reach the finishing line on the day’s special. Although he might have to pass over stage victory in favour of Mathieu Serradori, the Mini driver has finished with a lead of 12 minutes over Nasser Al-Attiyah, extending his advantage over his Qatari rival in the general standings to 17’50’’, striking a big blow against his adversary’s chances!

12:20 Quintero leads

Seth Quintero, the sixth driver to start, has taken the lead on the special after 63 km in the lightweight vehicle category. The American, the youngest stage winner ever on the Dakar, is 20’’ ahead of Aron Domżała and 44’’ in front of current general standings leader Austin Jones. Chaleco López, who opened the stage, occupies fourth place, a little less than one minute behind the young American

15:50 Big blow for Quintero!

Seth Quintero, who led at the start of the special, has broken down after 210 km. The youngest ever stage winner on the Dakar, who was in second place in the general standings 10’31’’ behind Austin Jones at the start today, could suffer a big time loss

15:09 López is aiming for three in a row

After winning both parts of the marathon stage, Chaleco López is today attempting a hat-trick. After 239 km, the Chilean is one minute behind Michał Goczał. Former WRC driver Kris Meeke is in third position, 2’26’’ behind the stage leader. After time losses yesterday, Aron Domżała has now lost almost five minutes!
