STAGE 12 TRACKING

STAGE 12: SAN JUAN > VILLA CARLOS PAZ

Connection 450km | Special Stage 481km | Total 931km

COURSE OVERVIEW

There is more than 900km to cover on the day before the finish, including more than half in the special section, with the exception of the trucks, whose dimensions are not suitable for some of the tracks on the agenda. In this semi-mountainous terrain, the vegetation which lines their edges might be a bit tight for them! This means that the other vehicles will also have to show dexterity. Fans of pure driving will be at ease, but they’ll have to watch out for blunders: at this stage in the game, a mistake could cost them dearly.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

+!

Amen!

My uncle that lives in Cordoba (Argentina) told me there is a big rumor about DAKAR 2017 going back to Africa

Y E S !!!!!!!!!!

Is there any safe places left in Africa ?

Talks held in Angola with Levine, they want to use Angola, south africa and Namibia, yes it is very safe, crime is arround big cities in South Africa 400 miles from closest desert areas, I would add Botswana, the most stable country on the continant, may be they are put odff by the high density of wild game there, come guys you can come and spectate and sleep in tents at bivioucs with lions, hyena and jackall sounds in the background!

I read an article where Marc coma denied that idea and did not know where the rumors came from. Btw. South America has provided better revenue than Africa ever did and more competitor also ( nationals )

South Africa will add a lot more entries than Argentinia from our domestic racing, 35 % of this years Daker cars were designed and built here, 17 Toyotas, Ford pickups, Nissan pickups, 2 Renault Dusters built here for the French factory, 2 Century Buggies and some more,we build more cars than the French or Germans on a much smaller budgett, Roads, Comunication, Aviation, Medical etc. Is on par with USA or Europe

I would gather that the Pugs are running at 90% today in order to retain the overall without fallout. It would be interesting to know if Robby is running full tilt today or not. I would guess he is, as that is his style that we all know. If so, he is sure getting beat by the Toyota and Mini's today as well as the Pugs.

Wow

He was only off 42 seconds the leaders time in the last section so.... only Robby knows how hard he is pushing it.. Gas on!
