COURSE OVERVIEW

This is the first of the rare special stages in which all categories will compete. At the start of the race, the most confident drivers will be able to take advantage of the fast tracks to try to move up in the overall standings. But the temptation to do so may be risky, particularly in the hard-to-handle fesh-fesh areas where absolute self-control is the only guarantee of success. Overtaking here requires precision handling to the extreme.

No!

sainz out !?

The Dakar 2015 was not being an easy task Carlos Sainz. In the first three stages pilot Peugeot had a discreet performance, but still the best pilot of the brand. Until then the problems were not large, since a change of car always requires an adjustment period. However, yesterday the Peugeot 2008 DKR struggled in pressure feed system , although at first it was thought that the fault was in the turbo vehicle. Carlos Sainz with co-driver Lucas Cruz were unemployed more than four hours, losing all chance of winning in this Dakar. Despite mechanical problems, the Spanish singles today go out to stage 5 with less pressure and focused and in day to day to try to win stages. Carlos Sainz today still in the usual positions he has held in this edition, prowling the ninth, when the absence of 10 kilometers from the finish has turned to his Peugeot 2008 DKR give 5 rollovers. The accident occurred at the lack visibility caused by dust kicked up by vehicles going forward. Both the pilot and copilot are well and have been taken to hospital as a precaution.
