You guys are correct, 2014 has been a disaster for our race team it's amazing how when you don't win people forget so fast. I guess we just have to worker harder and smarter huh. I was thinking a 1/2 day 7 days a week was enough? just so you know we count a half day as 12 hrs.

Dakar
Vapor Lock blown engine due to running lean. = DNF
Maybe a team problem and due to testing in the Fall won't happen again I will take responsibility personally for this as last year was tough building 23 SST Trucks but we still won Parker and Baja 500 as well as building a series.

Qualified 1st by 5 seconds over 2nd 9 sec over Voss and 20 seconds to 5th

With all these DNF's one time has it been my guys prep jobs? And maybe all of them are mine trying to go too fast (just kidding) I feel our cars are as nice as anything in the Desert or short course, it was a year ago that we schooled everyone at Parker for 3 years straight 2 wins in RGM Truck oh wait 1 win and 1 DQ for heli and 1 win in a Gieser Trugly

BAJA 500 first Overall pole position last 2 BAJA 500 races

BAJA 1000 finally had a RGM mechanical with a broken Spindle, besides this the DNF's are outside parts of RGM and we will continue to push the Developement of OFF ROAD and set the stage for Speed

So for 2013 we have 66% win rate in the Desert 2 wins 3 races

So 2012 win rate 50% win rate 4 wins 8

I will take these odds anytime at Vegas

I have a great race team and Sponsors like Speed, Toyo, 4 Wheel Parts, Safty Clean, Techni, Torchmate, Hass CNC, Mac Tools, Menards, Freightliner many more and couldn't do it without the guys and girls on this team that helps us grow the sport we all love, everyone is right all that matters is winning and we are the only team that has wins in Score and BITD and Dakar Special wins in our own cars.......... Not Voss, BJ, Menzies, Jones or anyone else can say this.

See you guys at the Baja 1000 and we will be there guns blazing

Bummer some of you think I'm Arrogant but in reality it's just confidence and the fans I, we have we love and they are just as passionate as me.

Now if we can only get Chevy to realize this lol . I mean could you imagine a 10 truck AMERICAN factory effort ? Idk who we'de get for the other 9 trucks ,and I won't start a it should be so and so or whose who but , just imagine an all American factory effort like BMW / Mini . I even wouldn't 1/2 mind if someone other than Robby won it as long as it was an American . Although Robby deserves it more than anyone .

You started it MJ. Here's another pitch to "The Table of Big Ideas." What if the SST series transformed into a seven car team of Dakar HST's?

To your point, if a major auto manufacturer used RGM and the HST's for such a campaign, the whole culture of the current RGM effort would change. This could be fine, but it would feel completely different to us, the fans, and to Robby too. It would feel, and present different, because it would be different. It would be Robby joining up with a Chevy, or whoever, to complete against BMW.

Even if it was Chevy, and Robby could run the exact same engine, the skins of the car would be Chevy's latest mid-size, SUV, or crossover. This would be fine.

To me BMW is the odd duck at Dakar. There are a number of smaller developmental/experimental teams in the Dakar race too. Why do you need to bring seven cars? Who brings seven cars to anything? Maybe it's Monster trying to take down Robby's Speed brand. Who knows? It sure does seem to be the big and powerful doing everything in their power and bigness to win.

Hendrix might have seven cars or engines at a NASCAR race. I'm not too up on that world, but this is different than a tight seven car team.

My biggest peeve of the whole thing is the American auto manufacturers NOT getting involved in this . I mean this is one of the BIGGEST races in the world as far as prestige and none of them even attempt it ? Chevy Ford Dodge ARE all repesented in the race Just off the top of my head I know El Martillo uses a Dodge , and BJ used a Chevy last yr . Ford DOES have a factory effort but it's nowhere near that of the BMW/Mini effort . Yes things would change with factory support but I feel it would all be worth it for the USA to bring home the trophy . All I'm saying is that of all the drivers the US manufacturers could support , Robby would / should be their best shot at winning it . He already is the ONLY American to even win a stage in the rally and with his knowledge added to factory support I'm sure they could bring BMW/Mini to their knees .

I disagree with the corporate profit??? Don't kid yourself, Robby's deal is profitable, but I'm sure it gets way more profitable with each win! The man does this for fun and money....he's living the dream!!

Thanks MJ, I just didn’t have anything to contribute the last few weeks because been at NASCAR races and didn’t run into any Planeteers this last weekend at NHMS. But I do have this pic I took at the Modified Race at the site of Robby’s famous helmet toss at the POS Waltrip. (Finally I found a way to post it and make it relevant here.) I got a 20 shot sequence of the whole event.

Memory flashback,a mere 11 month's ago folks where guessing the HST was a Dodge,Jeep,Fiat,New Hummer,what ever bodied Buggy.For fun I re-read TOG's FAQ thread from last year ,good stuff.

Yeah I remember that . I myself said the Ford part it cause the tail lights look like F-150 ones . Still think they do lol . I also remember even showing some RC bodies that looked like it cause of the Traxxas tie-in .
