Thanks Mike. I'd love to see it in person some day. Robby or his crew might accidentally step on my camera though.

Hey, does anybody know? Will Robby have the Gordini at the Sand and Sport show?

Hahaha, pretty good MJ! I don't remember that movie at all. I might watch it, but they pretty much told the story in the trailer.

McG, thanks! I did not know that the track is that old. It's good to see Robby in his old neighborhood.

I would have never thought of putting the SST out there. Robby must know somebody. Whoever said, "Yes," deserves a shout out. I'm sure the track grooming crew grumbled a bit, but they went with the big picture. "Let's have some fun!" I'm sure the moment was exciting for the kids.

It's a great place. Me and a friend recently took his 5 year old there to try it out. He raced his Target special wearing his Lightning McQueen boots. He did great. He loved being in a real race.

It seems like a relatively easy sport to get into, and it's good for you physically too. An older kid I met offered to let me try his bike. He might have done that just to make an old man nervous, but I think he meant it. No doubt, there's a competitive element to the sport, but the friendly/family element is strong too - from my experience.

This is the Orange YMCA BMX track...Robby started his racing career on this track over 35 years ago! It's AWESOME to see him come back and do a couple laps in his SST.

Newport & Chapman, I know where that's at, up near OPA. I'm down the hill from there. I live near Chapman and Cambridge, about a mile from the circle.
