I hear ya Will. Who pays the "credibility" fee? The riders. The SX purse payout is a joke. Our local Saturday night short track pays nearly as much.

What has the world really come to when credibility is sought after rather than earned? So much of racing is just corporate packaging now days. I'm going to local track racing only from here on out, at least there your credibility is earned or lost by your actions.

What I've been able to surmise is Feld wanted to promote SX as a world championship and felt it necessary to have FIM sanctioning for credibility.

Related, here's an interesting read: http://bit.ly/1nywCtp

Two investment opportunities that I never invested in and wish I would've one was Lilly pharmaceutical and the other was Pixar.

Maybe the FIM thing is important to the manufacture's. I thought I read that the sample was tested in France.
Comment by WJM on June 23, 2014 at 12:01pm

Sample taken in Seattle? That was two months ago. Having served as VP for the second largest independent clinical lab chain in the country I can tell you with reasonable authority that a drug screen, whether it be urine or blood, has a 24-hour turnaround, 48 hours if positive with a split sample confirmed by GC mass spec.

The detection window for presence of Adderall is 3-5 days in urine, 8-32 hours in plasma depending on the amount of the drug ingested. B samples not frozen within 10-12 hours are useless.

The Supercross title is a FIM World Championship. So what. How many people in the stands at a Supercross race can tell you what FIM is an acronym for?

A FIM World Champioship , sample was taken in Seattle.

Damn you small print. Interesting to note that if Bubba was wearing saggy baggy shorts when the samples were taken he can request a redraw but only if the new Upton gif is rated "meh" or lower by the Popeye Forearm Club.

Why does AMA (Ohio) and Feld need FIM sanctioning anyway? Judging from the purse payout and points fund, SX is a cash cow. What does the FIM bring to the table?

Comment by will on June 22, 2014 at 11:23pm

But read further WJM; if the testing laboratory reports the results on the same date a new Kate Upton gif is released, the racer in question has an additional 93 hours to file a test result protest before whatever the hell sanctioning body can impose any punishment.
