Yes, they do an excellent job of live streaming the event.How they do it is a lesson for Roger (SCORE)!

+1 We race in the 4500 class which is the class below unlimited. Our crew was at the jumbo tron watching us ( the desert racing they have ever seen live). We are for lack of better words a support class for the ULTRA4 series but they cover us the same. In all that ive done with racing and such, never in my life have I felt the wash of a helo before while racing....it is very weird to say the least. KOH is a must for Robby I feel. The crowd last year ate the SST demos up. He has the potential to own this event with a little more wheel time. Lance as his CoDawg is as close to a ringer as you will get and the RPM buggy has its place ( that is one badass rig). It needs a real motor and someone ( RG ) to actually take the time to learn the rocks. I realize that time is something Robby has little of, yet watching and listening to him last year he seems to really, really dig the ultra 4 stuff. If the RPM buggy is not available (heard its collecting dust) the Bomber Car that won the entire race last year is for sale/rent. Actually there is a few top of the line cars that are for rent/sale. Just my.02 P.S. if you guys are interested... we are #4578, we have a ultra 4 national win to our name (UTAH) last year and we finished 3rd in National points. King of the Hammers isn't my kind of racing. Slow tech rock crawling. Cool but not for me. Very small market as well.

Having driven some of the trails in Johnson Valley what they are doing to win the KOH is not
slow technical rock crawling. And not very small of a market. It is at least as big of a market as most desert races..

I can see it as being not for everyone but as far as difficulty I would place it at the same level as the 500 or d mm Darak.

Johnson Valley is in my back yard....I race off road (desert Racing) and ride some dual sports events in the Johnson OHV.... The Hammers combines Desert racing and rock crawling with the spectator in mind, the promoters have set up several areas to get a GREAT view of the event...The racing/qualifing lasts a week (another perk for spectators)
In Hammer Town is a HUGE portable big screen in the center of the town where several camera feeds are shown, all this centered around a camp fire. One of my favorite spots is where they come off of a high speed section and come to a near standstill all while shifting there transfer case into low, low, low range...Then climbing through a rock/boulder canyon, near vertical (some sections you cant even WALK up!) at the top, the levers fly and back to the next high speed section....pretty amazing stuff...well thought out and well worth the 20.00 (optional donation as it is public open land) per carload to watch DAYs of racing action!!!

Clearly 100+ mph on the lake bed and 50-60mph thru the whoops is to slow. Our course was 100+ miles (cant remember exactly.. my head still hurts) and 70 of that was desert. Yes the rocks go slow but we still average 5-10mph until things like 6-8 ft waterfalls and boulders are our trail. But your right its for sure to slow (HA HA)...
