STAGE 11 TRACKING

STAGE 11: ANTOFAGASTA > EL SALVADOR

Connection 144km | Special Stage 605km | Total 749km

COURSE OVERVIEW

In addition to the distance, here the competitors will be put to the test by all the difficulties offered by the Atacama Desert… and will have to display all the qualities required for off-road races. After the mine tracks and the many rivers to cross, the competitors will have to distinguish themselves in the heart of the Dunes of Copiapo: the fastest motorcyclists are expected to spend seven hours behind the wheel. Needless to say that on this decisive day there will be no shortage of opportunities for competitors to make a winning comeback in the race. This will be the key stage of the 2014 edition.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

BMW. They want a 1-2-3 finish and don't want the front two to risk it by fighting each other.

Euros....

Umm.. its a race. Is manipulaing the results very sportsman like? Like the idea of Nani winning (if it has to be a Mini), but I'm all for whomever is the fastest. Imagine that, the fastest being the winner. At a race. The ASO needs to review this concept. Let em duke it out. Peter, Nani, and Nasser all crash into each other? That's racin'

If it's not against the rules it's legal. :D

F1 had a scandal this last year due to team orders, Nascar as well in the last race before the chase. Sometimes it takes an incident before new rules are put in place.

I hate team orders in a case like this but Nascar totally handled it wrong so better just to ignore it then make things worse

Them's is team orders. Been around a long time.

Did you see his pic on Dakar.com? Peterhansel wanted to win the thing so bad and looks miserable.

Soo now it's a parade instead of a race as far as the mini's go

at one point he was ahead of Roma overall today

For the Mini's, yes.

Nasser still needs to race, De Villiers is still going to run strong until the end and he is only a few minutes back.

do we know if Robby has left again yet?
