STAGE 9 TRACKING

STAGE 9: CALAMA > IQUIQUE

Connection 29km | Special Stage 422km | Total 451km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The 2014 Dakar will reach its most northern point in Iquique, where the competitors will see the ocean for the first time this year. Above all, the drivers and teams will discover the Atacama Dunes again after a first part of a special stage which will be rather tedious. Dune specialists will be in command over a distance of almost 150km. Thrills will be guaranteed at the very end of the day, on the last three kilometres of the descent to Iquique: there is more than a 30% difference in height from start to finish and it is almost not recommended to break. The law of gravitation takes on its full meaning: the bivouac is not far away!

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

I have been following Robby for a long time. I only know a few that can do what he has done. For those that give up and want the Hummer back, I am sorry, but there is a reason he has changed. Sure this does not have the width & travel of the Hummer. But It is what he is racing. I will support him in a go cart if he drives it. Just because of who he is, He started the SST program because he shared a dream of someone. Mickey was capable of making things happen, Ruthless at racing but as nice as can be anywhere else. He did so much over his lifetime to advance racing. His son is attempting to make one of his last dreams come true. Robby has that same drive. He can dream it, He can build it and He can drive the wheels off of it. I don't like to read all of the quit & go back comments. We are here to support, not tear down.

Well put

no hay mas, bien dicho, como dirian aqui en lima, chevere

i'm with you
the only investment rg needs is time testing the hst torture test months before dakar we know he can build bad ass cars and has a kick ass team test and either build another car or enter a car in stock class at least to carry water stock class cars saved his ass more than twice

i agree I will suport Robby in anything he does wish I had the drive a determination he does those are the things that make us become fans of robby in the first place

So did the picture above show or mean?

What did it show?

It was looking like an OK day and I went to see the Wolf Of Wallstreet.
Get back and he finished up 2 hrs dowm.
