STAGE 2 TRACKING

STAGE 2: SAN LUIS > SAN RAFAEL

Connection 365km | Special Stage 433km | Total 798km

COURSE OVERVIEW

The fastest special stage of the rally, at least for its first part, will also be the one where drivers will have to face the first dunes. And it won’t just be a brief encounter with sand: in the last 100 kilometres, the exploration of the grey dunes of Nihuil will be even more intensive than during previous visits. The sand is more firm there, but the experience will provide a great deal of insight about each of the competitors’ technical skills. In short it will be a veritable test.

The GREEN section of the route is the connection , the RED is the Special Section of the stage.

For sure new things have bugs to work out, Robby's guys will figure it out quick. I guess my question is: when the car does run well, how is it?

Well if you don't win 2nd is as good as 122nd. So, if team Gordon can get the bugs worked out and get some stage victories all will be "pretty good". Yes us fans had higher expectations this year. But life is tough. I'll appreciate a great effort over great luck.

Plus - we can still root for "anyone" vs the Minis.

Agree! Sainz for the win! At least he is a US based buggy even though the SMG guys make tweaks to it.

TEAM 305 IN 57 TH GENERAL POSITION AND TEAM 318 (BJ BALDWIN) IN 81 TH GENERAL POSITION AT 7:24,30 SEG , ITS A BAD DAKAR FOR AMERICAN TEAMS .

Based on the latest video, RG says vapor lock as the only problem yesterday, i don't know if the same for today,. if that was the case, then, not easy to fix that, right, or hard to find the source of that,. what do you think about that???

Today also per Rob Harris who is with the team

Wierd that is is happing to multiple cars. I wonder if it is something else creating same thing. Does Motec run any of the others.

Maybe it has to do with the hard parts of a legal 'production' LS7?

Yeah, I am no genius, but can't believe same problem two days is just normal vapor lock. But we are not there and today was a bad tracking day. Hopefully computer experts can figure it out. Well one more day for me to be able to track live then 3 days of work. I want to see the HST run like it looks.

A lot of cars came in late today so it must have been a grueling stage or everyone but the top guys got bike road books! lol

So I just watched the NBC Sports broadcast of the Dakar Highlights, Can they please get somebody other than Sam Posey to commentate., he was so dry I felt like I was watching a proctology lecture!

Bring back Toby Moody
