Personally, I'm not seeing the Evoque. I love the D-pillars picking up the spares. I love the sloping roof. Not much for the Ford, or Raptor, tail-lights. Don't particularly like them on the Fords. Don't particularly like them on the HST. Personally, I think the style of the 2004 - 2008 Ford is a winner. If they asked me, I would have put these taillights on the table.

As for the tailgate of the HST, if we were in the design studio, I would ask for more. I can see TOG's napkin sketch coming out here. No way is the HST as refined in styling as the Evoque. But overall, I can already tell, the HST looks awesome!

Slider305- RG has already stated that it is unbranded and there is no ties to a manufacturer. He said this on video. However, anything is possible though with the right investment.

its been suggested already, but to my eye, this the rig I drive...a Range Rover Evoque. RG has always had manufacturer support, whether Indy, Nascar or Dakar. Might there be a pending announcement coming from Range Rover? Linking themselves to the Dakar would certainly make sense. A photo of the nose wil tell the tail :)

Oh boy, I see a huge flaw...they forgot the license plate bracket!

The vents are with the live axle

I think Robby's approach is, "What part can't we fabricate between sundown and sun up?" With this is mine, it will be one robust machine half way through the rally.

We are in for a great Dakar! 12 buzzing Minis! I think I have that number right. Nasser in a Mini. The annual square off of Robby and Peterhansel. BJ in the field. Wow! Plus, we have a the new HST. I have concerns that the new car shake might be our Achilles Heel, but it will for sure be a high flying machine along the order of the SST's.

All this babble about the name and @hendricus is the first one to get it

Okay, one thing I DO like about the Gordini name, is the combination of "Gordon" and "Mini," resulting in "Gor-dini."
